Thank you for your kind words from our dear resident Barbara!

It was wonderful to be part of the Mayor's Christmas celebrations this year!

It was truly a privilege, honour and joy to attend the Mayor’s Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party in Kingston Guildhall on Friday, 12th December 2025 alongside our dear Southborough resident Barbara πŸŽ„βœ¨

Barbara has formed a very special connection with Mayor Noel Hadjimicheal and Deputy Mayor Sue Ansari since they kindly attended her 99th birthday at Southborough Nursing Home, making this invitation all the more meaningful.

They took the time to greet each guest at the party and made everyone feel welcome. Barbara enjoyed a lovely chat and was all smiles thanks to their kindness.

The event was beautifully planned and thoughtfully delivered – from the delicious festive food to the wonderful raffle (which Barbara was delighted to win!). We also enjoyed fantastic entertainment from The London Korean Hummingbird Choir, along with beautiful singing by Mr Jack Marius.

We returned home with happy hearts, grateful to have shared such a memorable day before the year comes to a close. It was heart-warming to be part of a Kingston community gathering that truly celebrated diversity, culture and the true spirit of Christmas.

A heartfelt thank you to the Mayor and his incredible team for their hard work in creating such a joyful and successful event. It was a very special day to share with Barbara πŸ’™

We had an absolutely amazing show with Sally from Mini Concerts 🎢✨
Countdown to Christmas was filled with nostalgic Christmas favourites and upbeat songs that had our residents singing along from start to finish. You can never go wrong with a classic Jingle Bells – it brought so much joy that even Damian couldn’t resist singing along!

It truly made our afternoon extra special. Thank you Mini Concerts for such a wonderful show – Sally is amazing! πŸŽ„πŸŽ€πŸ’›

βœ¨πŸŽ„ Sharing some happy moments from our Southborough Christmas Party πŸŽ„βœ¨

It was a wonderful success, made possible by the amazing support of our families and the fantastic atmosphere on the day! Our residents were treated to such a warm, friendly celebration, made even more special by the visit from Sir Ed Davey.

A heartfelt thank you to Sir Ed and Councillor Tom Reeve for taking the time to join us and help make the party so memorable. A big thank you as well to all the families who came along, and to our incredible residents and staff who truly joined in the festive spirit.

Special thanks to Adina Smallwood for her amazing performance – she had us all up dancing! πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί And of course, a magical visit from Father Christmas πŸŽ… brought smiles all round.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a joyful and memorable celebration πŸ’–πŸŽΆπŸŽ„

πŸŽ„βœ¨ We had an amazing Southborough Christmas party, made extra special and truly memorable by a visit from Sir Ed Davey.

Sir Ed was warm and friendly, taking time to speak with every resident and family member present, before sharing a sweet dance with our dear resident Juliette, while Adina Smallwood sang beautifully. Resident Lily gave him a warm hug. It was a truly lovely afternoon.

He was joined by Councillor Tom Reeve, who spent time speaking with both staff and residents and promised to visit again soon. Sir Ed also addressed our team, saying he had heard from everyone present that the staff at Southborough are caring and wonderful.

Our Manager Kamal Gill warmly welcomed our guests, and everyone expressed their gratitude for their time and presence. Our resident Barbara shared that she has followed Sir Ed Davey’s journey for almost three decades and wished him continued success.

It was wonderful to welcome Sir Ed Davey and Councillor Tom Reeve to Southborough.

πŸŽ„ Merry Christmas everyone! πŸŽ„
