Delighted to welcome the children from Monkey Puzzle Surbiton to the Southborough Limes Lounge, alongside the wonderful Zoe from Debutots Kingston for an afternoon full of entertainment, laughter and connection.

Zoe did a fantastic job engaging both the children and residents in a range of intergenerational activities, bringing everyone together through stories, fun and shared smiles. The joy in the room was truly infectious and they loved creating scarf flowers!

Really delighted to welcome children from Monkey Puzzle Surbiton to the Southborough Limes Lounge, alongside the wonderful Zoe from Debutots Kingston for an afternoon full of entertainment, laughter and connection.

Zoe did a fantastic job engaging both the children and residents in a range of intergenerational activities, bringing everyone together through stories, fun and sensory tools. Creating flowers with scarves was ingenious! ❤️

It was heartwarming to witness so many special moments. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon, we can’t wait to welcome you all back again soon! 💛

A huge thank you to St Matthew's CofE Primary School, Surbiton for visiting Southborough Care Home and creating such a wonderful community connection for the residents.❤️

The children, teachers and parents brought such positive energy and joy with their fantastic performances, especially YMCA! 🌟

The children also presented residents with beautiful tulips, which brought lots of smiles 😊

Today we said a heartfelt farewell to our dear resident, Sydney.

We were deeply touched that Sydney’s family kindly brought the funeral cortege through Southborough so that staff and residents could pay their respects together.

It was a truly moving moment, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to honour Sydney’s memory with dignity, love and respect.

Our thoughts remain with Sydney’s family and loved ones at this difficult time. 💙

What a wonderful afternoon we shared at our VE Day celebration at Southborough with show 🇬🇧✨

Caris and Abby gave an absolutely amazing performance as the D-Day Dollies, filling the room with nostalgic songs from the era that mean so much to our residents. There was plenty of singing along, smiles, and cherished memories throughout the afternoon ❤️

It was also lovely to welcome our community friends from Debutots and Monkey Puzzle nursery to join us for this special occasion. Bringing everyone together created such meaningful community engagement and brought so much joy to all involved.

One of the highlights of the day was a beautiful VE Day cake lovingly baked by our fantastic kitchen team 🎂 And, as it was also Sir David Attenborough’s birthday, we came together to sing for an extra special double celebration!

A truly beautiful afternoon indeed. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special, and a very special thank you to our incredible care team for everything they do 💙
