Some more snippets of our weekend! Gardening yesterday afternoon with all of us outside and it was so lovely. The weather was gorgeous so the kids had fun with the sprinkler! Unfortunately I broke my pink wheelbarrow trying to move a plant pot which was heavier than I realised 😫😂 so ended up with me and dad going to the tip today to recycle some bits from the garden that I’ve been meaning to do for ages! Worked out well in the end as ticked a job off the list although still gutted about my wheelbarrow 😫

Then Pete and I cooked up a storm, not a classic Sunday dinner but it was so yummy. Burgers made from scratch (so easy and I love knowing exactly what they’re made out of!) with salad and amazing spicy sweet potato wedges. A lush end to a lush weekend!

Hope you all had a great one too ❤️

A lush Saturday so far! Me and dad took a quick trip to the garden centre which is always one of my favourite activities (yep I’m getting old 😂) and now home to plant everything!!

Having a bbq later courtesy of Peter Andre 😋❤️

I couldn’t not jump on this trend. A little glimpse into my life and the kind of messages sends me on a daily basis, I think my personal favourite has to be “I think I’m pregnant” 😂 watch til the end if you want a good laugh!

A little snapshot of our morning! Dropped Millie to school, then walked to school with Theo and Belle stopping on the way to vote in the local election 😊

Theo’s school is celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday today (his birthday is actually tomorrow) so the children were allowed to dress up as their favourite animal. Theo went for a gorilla which I thought was fab choice given Sir David’s famous encounter with the gorillas in Rwanda ❤️

A busy but lovely morning!

This week is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week and World Maternal Mental Health Day, a time to raise awareness and remind people that support is available during pregnancy and after birth.

I wanted to spotlight a common mental health condition that can occur in the postnatal period - postnatal depression.

A couple of facts about postnatal depression:
- It’s much more common than many people realise - it affects more than 1 in 10 new mothers in the UK
- It can affect anyone, regardless of background or circumstances

There’s a lot more information, including red flag symptoms and when to seek further help, on the website.

And finally I wanted to say thank you to the amazing team behind Maternal Mental Health Week. It’s so important for reducing stigma and reminding people that mental health matters just as much as physical health in the perinatal period.

Bank holiday Monday well spent!

We didn’t have any big plans (Pete was working), so it turned into one of those simple days at home - a bit of cooking, time in the garden, and being with the kids.

For dinner I made Greek-style souvlaki and it was yum. I used the BBC Good Food recipe for the chicken marinade (search for chicken souvlaki recipe), and for the flatbreads I went with:

• 440g full-fat Greek yogurt
• 280g self-raising flour
• 1 tsp salt

Literally mix together, leave to rest for half an hour or so before rolling out.

Although those were the suggested amounts, I ended up using closer to 350g of flour as the dough was quite wet (maybe just me doing it wrong 😅). It turned out great in the end.

I split the dough into 8 flatbreads and cooked them in a pan with a little olive oil for a couple of minutes on each side. So tasty and definitely one to make again!

Hope you’ve all had a lovely long weekend ❤️

Today is Melanoma Monday, a reminder to check your skin and know what to look out for. Early detection really can make all the difference and could save your life. A helpful guide to remember is the ABCDE rule for moles or marks on the skin. Save this post and share it with your loved ones:

A – Asymmetry (one half doesn’t match the other)
B – Border (irregular, blurred or uneven edges)
C – Colour (different shades or uneven colour)
D – Diameter (larger than around 6mm, but can be smaller)
E – Evolving (changing in size, shape, colour or texture)

If something looks new, unusual or has changed, please get it checked by a healthcare professional. Take a few minutes today to check your skin and remind someone you love to do the same ☀️🧡

It’s hard to watch something like this and not feel shocked.

The UK has some of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the world, and many women stop earlier than they want to - often due to stigma, lack of support, or feeling uncomfortable feeding in public.

Creating a more supportive and accepting environment can make a real difference for women who want to breastfeed.

If this video is real which it does seem to be - hats off to this incredible mum for standing her ground. What a superstar ❤️

A product I’ll never stop raving about! These Laura Mercier eyeshadows have been a staple in my makeup bag for the longest time, so whenever I see someone trying a new shade you know I’m influenced and I have to say, this one was a success.

Definitely going to be rotating between these two colours and my other favourites. Link below if you want to grab yours 👇
