We kicked off our first baking session of 2026 making delicious fruit tarts yesterday morning which were well enjoyed with tea after an afternoon of music & movement 🍓🥝🍊🫐 Our last baking session of 2025 finished on a high making festive gingerbread biscuits & finishing with a decorating competition, with Abi and Carla judging & choosing the winners 🎄🏆👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Happy New Year from the Hall Grange Team! 🎉✨ We celebrated with a New Year’s Eve party yesterday - enjoying refreshments, DJ Val got everyone singing & dancing the afternoon away with great music and the team, residents and families came together to celebrate. Wishing everyone a happy & blessed 2026 🎶🕺💃❤️

The run up to Christmas was filled with festive cheer as we counted down the last days! We played Christmas themed games & sang carols on Christmas Eve after the morning service 🦌, made Christingle oranges with family joining in which were beautifully lit during the Christingle church service 🍊🕯️, kept minds active with a quiz 🧠, sparked lovely memories during book club with Kate reading Christmas short stories including the traditional classic of ‘A Christmas Carol’ 📖 and played Christmas bingo on Bluebell followed by a group singalong 🎶 The countdown to the New Year now begins!

The festive cheer continued this evening with the lovely Joyce - who always brings a good laugh, kind heart and positive energy to everyone - singing carols around the home and bringing chocolates to give to other residents. Joyce brought smiles to many faces and wanted to continue spreading Christmas joy. What a lovely way to end the Christmas season ♥️

We had a cheerful Boxing Day after all of the Christmas fun yesterday and had some Boxing Day themed trivia sheets, festive drinks, sweet treats and a sing-along karaoke session. In the afternoon the kitchen team made a delicious Boxing Day lunch & we had games of bingo with the wonderful Adrian calling out numbers as in Friday tradition, with a break for Christmas cake and tea. The amazing Joyce continued to spread festive cheer in the evening with some carol singing and handing out chocolates 🎄🎤

Merry Christmas from the Hall Grange team! 🎄✨ We hope you’ve all had a wonderful day and continue to have a lovely evening! Today was full of festive cheer with a very special visit from Santa delivering presents 🎅🏼 A festive gathering of residents, family & friends having drinks, snacks and music from morning (we even had a couple of elves pop in) until a delicious Christmas dinner in the afternoon. A big thank you to DJ Val for making the morning atmosphere extra special 🎶, everyone that joined us throughout the day and the Hall Grange team. We hope everyone has had a very merry Christmas 🎅🏼🎄♥️

Happy Christmas Eve! ✨ A big thank you to Revd. Richard Lowson, Deacon Al Henry & Malar for leading a wonderful Christmas Eve service today. Residents, families and staff came together to reflect, sing carols and celebrate followed by mulled wine and mince pies 🥧🍷🎄

A few more Christmas crafts we’ve been making recently with the sights, textures & warm scents of Christmas. From making cinnamon scented salt dough figures and fragrant orange & cinnamon garlands to hand-painted wooden decorations for the tree 🎄⛄️🍊🎨

Festive fun was in full swing at our Christmas themed Sports Day keeping bodies moving and spirits bright 🎄🏅Residents enjoyed various festive themed challenges including seasonal twists on classic games, from a snowball & spoon race to tinsel tug of war. An afternoon of laughter, team work and movement✨🎅

Getting creative with winter magic making our own snowglobes yesterday picking from a selection of Christmas ornaments & glitter to fill while listening to Christmas songs. Some residents made to gift to grandchildren, a thoughtful gift handmade with love ❄️☃️🎅🏼✨❤️
