One of the biggest mistakes I see when managing oily or blemish-prone skin, is people reaching for hash cleansers to ‘dry out’ breakouts or skipping a moisturiser. In reality this often triggers more oil production and irritation.

Instead choose a gentle cleanser with salicylic acid to help clear the pores whilst protecting your skin barrier. Follow with a lightweight moisturiser and you can look for one containing niacinamide.

This is a skincare routine that works for 97% of people.

Some people may need other targeted treatments to address specific skin concerns, but for most people this routine is all that’s needed to maintain good skin care.

Let’s talk Chilblains 🧊

With temperatures dropping below freezing over the past few days in London, this is a skin condition to look out for. Prevention is best so make sure to keep your hands and feet protected from the cold with warm gloves and thick socks.

Most chilblains settle within a couple of weeks, but recurrent or severe lesions should always be checked by a healthcare professional.

Grateful for an amazing 2025. A year of meaningful collaborations with colleagues and brands I truly love and recommend, speaking and learning at conferences across the globe, and continuing to bring the best of evidence-based dermatology to my practice in London. It is a privilege to be able to support so many patients on their skin health journey.

Looking forward to another year of personal and professional growth. Wishing all my followers, friends, and family a very happy New Year. 🥳🎆🎉

Signing out for Christmas🎅🏼🎄

As the year draws to a close, I always find this season invites a moment to pause. To reflect, give thanks and to look ahead to the new year with renewed intention.

This past year has been a particularly meaningful one. Professionally, I have been deeply honoured to see our work recognised across a number of platforms. Highlights included being featured in the 2025 Tweakments Awards for melanated skin, judging for the ‘Best in Beauty’ awards, and contributing to features with .Each of these moments represent a growing conversation around evidence-based dermatology and skin health.

A particularly important moment for me this year was the opportunity to raise awareness about skin cancer on national television on Skin health has always been at the heart of what I do, and being able to share knowledge and raise awareness nationally felt especially significant.

This year we’ve been quietly developing our website, and I’m delighted to share that it now includes a blog. Education has always been central to my work. My passion has never been solely about treatments, but about sharing knowledge, making skin health accessible and understandable, to empower you on your journey. The blog is an extension of that philosophy, and I hope it becomes a trusted resource for you.

Finally, none of this would be possible without the support of my incredible practice team. Their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and kindness. The care they show to my patients everyday does not go unnoticed, and I am deeply grateful to work alongside them.

As we close this chapter and prepare for the year ahead, thank you for your continued trust, support, and belief in what we do. It is truly a privilege to be part of your skin health journey.

With heartfelt thanks, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dyshidrotic eczema treatment options. I’m often asked about the treatment of this common skin condition in clinic and online. Please remember this video provides general information only. Skin conditions can vary significantly from person to person, and I’m unable to give personal medical advice online. If you’re struggling with symptoms I would always recommend seeing a healthcare professional or consultant dermatologist for an individualised assessment and personalised treatment plan. 👨🏾‍⚕️
