Dr. Tony Barakova offers services including ultrasound assessment in pregnancy, preconception counselling, early pregnancy scan,cervical smear test, treatment of infections, family planning and general gynecological examination and counselling. She completed her training in Obstetric and Gynecology in 2006 at Medical University, Pleven. In February 2014 she was granted a placement as a fellow in Harris Birthright Research Center for Fetal Medicine at King’s College Hospital in London under the direct supervision of Professor Kypros Nikolaides. Dr. Barakova obtained certificates in nuchal, anomaly ,fetal growth scan ,fetal cardiac scan as well as transvaginal cervical assessment and has since been seeing patients at Fetal Medicine Center at Harley street, London. She is passionate about fetal heard scanning from very early stage of pregnancy. She has worked in the high risk pregnancy unit, preterm birth, hypertension, fetal growth restriction and multiple
pregnancy clinic at St Georges Hospital, Tooting . Dr. Barakova gained her clinical experience working at the University College London Hospital-Fetal Medicine Department; Croydon University Hospital; St Georges Hospital; and King’s College Hospital. As a member of the Fetal Medicine Foundation, Dr. Barakova is currently working at Doctors4you, the first Bulgarian clinic in the UK, offering the following services:
- Antenatal and Postnatal Care (including ultrasound assessment in pregnancy);
- Preconception counselling;
- Early pregnancy scan;
- Cervical smear test including testing for HPV, treatment of infections;
- Contraception Counselling including intrauterine
device insertion, family planning and general gynecological
examination and counselling;
