Chair Yoga is a great way to keep the body moving. It can be beneficial if you sit at a desk all day, are pregnant or have an illness or limited mobility that means mat based classes are not accessible.

I already teach chair yoga but I am looking to expand my offering. Dina is a very experienced teacher, so I know there will be all sorts of goodness to learn. 🪑🧘🏼‍♀️

I am back on my 300 hour journey. This time looking at Creative sequencing with the brilliant

Attending training courses allows you to grow as a teacher and learn new skills from those who run and attend the course. Our understanding of how the mind and body work is always changing and training means we can teach with knowledge and care.

Being a yoga teacher can be quite solitary and you don't get much chance for peer interactions. Training gives space to explore new ideas and methods with other teachers.

I come away from every course with inspiration but also the shared feeling of 'it isn't just me'. Training is as much about learning new skills and knowledge, as it is about connection.

I love that my students come in and chat to me and each other. Subjects vary hugely and over time I have seen the friendship and support for each other grow. I think it is the difference between a yoga class and a yoga community.

Join me for a Yoga Nidra on the spring Equinox, Friday 20th March, 6.30pm. Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a calming practice that can leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Nidra can support you if are stressed or having trouble sleeping. It’s a self-care practice that you can weave into a busy day. There's nothing to do or achieve, you simply lie down and listen. https://bookwhen.com/emharrisyoga/e/ev-shiae-20260320183000

Taking place in The Studio at Spin and Workout.

I am an E 200 RYT and I teach Vinyasa, Yin and Yoga Nidra. Vinyasa yoga sequences Asana (poses) so they ‘flow’ together with the breath. Yin Yoga is a more passive and calming practice, with postures being held for longer. Yoga Nidra or 'Yogic Sleep' is a rejuvenative and calming practice, where...

I am at the Lewisham Irish Community Centre, Tuesdays at 12pm. It's £4 for 45 minutes of gentle/chair yoga. If you pop in early you can grab a cuppa and a cake.

If you know someone who is older or could benefit from some gentle movement and a chat with some lovely students, I highly recommend popping down.

What is Yoga Nidra? Yoga Nidra translates to 'yogic sleep' but in reality the practice holds you in the in-between space, not awake and not asleep. In this space you can find deep rest and rejuvenation.

What does it involve? You simply get comfortable and listen. Then the teacher or recording guides you through a script and you see what sensations arrive.

What does a Nidra offer? You can feel rested and refreshed after a Nidra. Some Nidras offer a boost of energy and allow you to feel rejuvenated. I have students who use them when they are stressed or are having trouble sleeping but there are lots of benefits to a Nidra practice.

Why are Nidras so helpful? Yoga Nidras are very accessible and can be experienced in person or by a recording. They require very little physical activity and they are a self-care practice that can be weaved easily into your day. I like to listen to Nidras in bed, before going to sleep.

What happens if I fall asleep? Absolutely nothing! In fact some Nidras guide you to go to sleep. The idea is to listen and see what arrives.

Want to try a Nidra? I am running an in-person Nidra for the spring Equinox, so you can join that. Or I have recordings that you can download and listen to at home.

I am excited about this recording, as this is my first one with my brand-new microphone. It has made the whole process of recording and editing so much easier and hopefully the results can be heard in the product. This Nidra was from an event I ran before Christmas. So, if you came to the event, you have chance to listen and take yourself to your winter wonderland, all over again.

This Nidra offers a chance to find deep rest and rejuvenation. Simply lay back, get cosy and listen. Nidra recordings are a very accessible way to add self-care into your daily life. https://bookwhen.com/emharrisyoga/e/ev-s9h43-20260101000000

Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) is deeply rejuvenating and calming practice, where the participant is guided and held in the enchanting space between waking and dreaming. On the edge of the conscious and unconscious, in the 'in-between' or yogic sleep. In this space you can feel rested and refreshed.

For those interested in the microphone I have. It's the Logitech Blue yeti and so far, I am impressed.
