We all make plans to get things done, whether it be fitness goals, work or general life admin!
The truth is, sometimes life and how you’re feeling can get in the way! I’d made plans to do this weeks posts, clean the house, go visit a friend but no, I overtrained my calves, can barely walk, woke up feeling like s**t yesterday and got FA done! But you know what….that’s ok!
Its ok not to feel 100%, we are human after all! It’s a good idea to listen to our bodies and think what would be best…get stuff done or focus on recovery? The chances are, when you’re recovered you’ll do a better job with the plans you make! Tomorrow is another day! 😁

When people tell me they use Herb@$ife to get ripped….🤣🤣🤣

There are companies out there who like to take advantage of people! They say they’re not pyramid schemes and do some jiggery pokery to call themselves direct sellers but when approached by these companies…it feels the same!
Depending on what it is, there’s nothing wrong with a little supplementation but you do not need to spend a ton of money, when all you need is a high quality multivitamin and a good balanced diet!
If you want to get ripped, do some structured exercise and put some healthy food in your fridge. 💪🏽

Wild salmon vs Farmed salmon…Which is better? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Wild Salmon…
Deep red orange in colour, which comes from crustaceans filled with carotenoids. They contain more nutrients due to feeding in their natural habitat but almost double in cost!
Farmed Salmon…
Pale pink in colour, due to synthetic carotenoids added to their unnatural feed. Contains more fat due to higher amount of omega 6! A lot cheaper in price!
Both wild and farmed salmon have nutrients we all need. Wild looks like the healthier option but it’s a shame we live in a world that it costs more to be healthier! Pick one dependant on your goals and budget. 💪🏽

We all know that weight training is beneficial but remember it’s just as important to put some functional movement into your programme.

3 ways to hit your triceps…

1.Skull crushers - Love doing these with my clients! Can also be performed with a tricep bar.
2.Tricep dips - This is an advanced tricep exercise and wouldn’t recommend for people without a good degree of upper body stability.
3.Tricep cable extension - A great finisher to isolate your tricep.
Putting these exercises into your program will get you some great results and help you look fabulous in t-shirts! 💪🏽

No matter what they claim, there is no magic pill that burns your fat cells away! If there was, many personal trainers and nutritionists will have to change career pretty quick!
What they claim to do is speed up your metabolism, reduce the amount of fat your gut absorbs and maybe suppress your appetite. But do they really do any of this? 🤷🏾‍♂️
The reason things like this exist is that they prey on the fact people want to believe there is an easy solution for something that in reality requires some hard work and dedication.
If someone offers or suggests you use these, then in my opinion they’re mugging you off period!
If you want to lose fat, then you really want to stop looking for the quick fix and develop a framework for a sustainable healthy lifestyle that would allow you to create the changes you need to get the results you want!

Just one cup of this raw goodness contains less than 5g of carbs, a few grams of plant protein and zero fat!
It also contains 135% of your daily goal of vitamin C. You may find a little more in an orange but that also comes a lot more sugar based carbohydrates which isn’t that great for fat loss and inflammation.

What do you find holds you back from reaching your fitness and body composition goals?
I know it can be very hard to stay motivated and keep making progress in the gym… After all, life is full of distractions…
The thing I like most about my job as a personal trainer is helping people create a framework for success… I love helping people to reach their goals!
But the truth is, it’s not just about you achieving your goals whilst working with me, it’s about me helping you develop the skills, motivation and knowledge to continually achieve your fitness goals in the future… This is stable fitness… A true lifestyle not just a short term fix!
