There’s a moment in Goddess Pose when the shaking begins,
thighs burn, breath deepens,
and something ancient starts to hum beneath the surface.

This isn’t about power in the way we usually mean it.
It’s the power of staying.
Of softening while you hold your ground.
Of remembering that strength can sometimes look like trembling.

Feet rooted. Spine rising.
Heart open. Not because it’s easy, but because that’s what the moment asks of you. πŸ’ͺ🏽🌷☺️

What if we let the world turn a little sideways from time to time? 😊 In this variation to Uttanasana, I’m exploring what happens when I let gravity help me out. And I love to notice how my breath travels through the twist.

Do you ever play with your standing forward folds? What do you find most satisfying? Ok, and now for the million-dollar question... Do you twist to the right or left first? Apparently, we all have a favourite side - without even realising it. πŸ˜πŸ’•

How is your Handstand feeling today? πŸ€—πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€

Teeny tiny progress for me. My wrist still doesn’t feel 100% and all my right side is still a little weak.

Celebrating the small wins today, working on my foundation and respecting where my body is right now. ✨🌹

πŸ’« How do you ground yourself when life feels hectic? πŸ’«

I quietly return to my own body. A gentle noticing of thoughts, feelings, and sensations – with compassion and trying to limit self-judgment as much as possible. πŸ’•

We don’t always need elaborate rituals. More than anything else, we need to cultivate presence. A moment to feel our feet on the floor, our breath in the chest, our mind releasing resistance into now. πŸŒ·πŸ•‰

So, my mantra today is β€˜Pause. Breathe. Return. Repeat’ - What’s yours? πŸ€—πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

Move through Trikonasana. If it feels right, explore arm variations that open the chest and soften the shoulders. Then sink into Goddess Pose, wide stance, grounded, breath deep and calming.

Root down. Open up. Rest in your own strength. πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ’•πŸͺ·

Ardha Virasana invites both surrender and attentiveness - a soft forward fold, a deep opening through the thigh and hip.

πŸ’«How to (short + sweet) πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ˜Š

1️⃣ Begin seated, both legs forward.
2️⃣ Bend one knee, sliding the foot beside your hip. The other leg stays extended.
3️⃣ Keep the knees close together, pause here if that’s already enough.
4️⃣ To go deeper, fold gently forward, resting hands, forearms to the mat, or forehead to the knees or shins.

πŸ‘‰πŸΎ A note on knees – please, move with care. πŸ™πŸ½If there’s any pain or pinching, ease out. Use a blanket or block under your hips or back to give support. This pose is about opening, not straining.

Each fold is an offering to the breath. Ease into it. Stay only as long as it feels good.πŸ’•πŸ₯°β

Dharma Kapotasana (Pigeon Pose variation) - no need to force the full pose.
Before we think about clasping the hands behind our head, we can try this:

πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Bring our foot into the elbow crease.
πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Let the fingers rest lightly on the shoulder.
πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Keep the torso facing forward.

This shape already gives us a deep, juicy stretch for the hip flexors, shoulders, and chest. It’s stable, safe, and powerful on its own.

Clasping the hands overhead might look pretty, but it’s not the goal. The goal is to explore where our body is today - with steadiness, breath, and patience. ✨

Start here. Breathe here. Celebrate here. The rest can come in time. πŸ’•πŸ˜ŠπŸ’ͺ🏽
