Step in, root down, rise up. 🧘🏽‍♀️🌟⬆️

Virabhadrasana I builds heat through the lower body, opens the chest and shoulders, and invites you to lift up while grounding down.

This pose is about effort, but also direction.

A sense of moving forward, even when staying still.

Powerful, yes. But also very centering. 💫🕉️🙏🏽

So much of our days pulls us in, forward, down, tight.

And then you give your spine some space. 💫💕
Length. Twist. Bend.
Move in ways it quietly asks for.

That’s where things shift. There’s more room to breathe. More ease in how you stand, sit, move. Even how you feel.

That’s something I love about Dharma Yoga - it gives the spine loads of freedom, again and again. ❤️🌷

If your body’s been asking for a reset, this might be it.

Contemplation can be a pause at a red light.
A moment before you answer.
The space between inhale and exhale.

It could be noticing what’s here, right now, without trying to fix it, name it, or turn it into something productive.

A flicker of calm.
A hint of clarity.

Wake up the spine.

Let the ribs remember they can move. 😊

Solid backbends require pressing your feet down,
hugging your legs in, finding that steady, low-belly support, rise your chest up and then lifting from there.

Strong legs. Brave heart. Shine forward. 🙌🏽💫

Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II) requires more than physical steadiness. It asks us to show up fully, to stay present, even when it’s uncomfortable, and to explore what it means to dedicate ourselves - not just to the practice, but to ourselves. 💫

🌸Dedication - Press your feet into the earth. Root deeply. Keep showing up, even when your legs shake.

🌷Focus - Gaze steady over your front hand. Let the mind follow the breath. Notice when it wanders, and bring it back.

🌺Commitment - Stay here. Hold space. Honour the pose, honour the body, honour the courage it takes to be fully present.

Warrior II is about the choice to meet ourselves where we are, fully awake and fully alive. 💕🙌🏽
