🌟 Be in your body. 🌟

Feel the ground beneath your shin, the steady weight in your hips. Notice the rise of your breath as the chest begins to open.

Kapotasana (Pigeon pose) can be many things. A soft hip release. A gentle lifting of the heart. A long arc of spine opening to the sky.

Variation by variation, you choose how far to travel:

🌻Fold forward, let the head and shoulders rest.
🌹Stay upright, rooted and calm.
🌷 Or, if it feels good today, go deeper, add a backbend and really feel the opening of your heart, spacious and light.

There is no single shape to arrive at. Only the invitation to root down, open, and listen. Some days expansion feels natural, other days rest is the fullest expression.

Your body is the guide. Follow what feels good. ❤🥰🧘🏽‍♀️

Parsva Konasana or Side Angle Stretch is a powerful asana to work on mind-body connection. The front leg anchors you down while the side body lengthens and opens. It’s strength and expansion happening at the same time. 🧘🏽‍♀️💕🪷

Notice how it feels to root down and reach out, be grounded and expansive, at once.

Not every yoga practice feels like flying. Some days feel heavy, wobbly, or sticky. But then there are those moments: a deep breath, a surprising stretch, a shape that clicks, and suddenly, you feel lifted.

Yoga teaches us both sides: to stay grounded AND to remember we have wings. 🪽🪷🤸🏽‍♀

Do you ever feel that sense of flying in your practice? 👇🏾

Dharma Kapotasana (Pigeon Pose variation) - no need to force the full pose.
Before we think about clasping the hands behind our head, we can try this:

👉🏾 Bring our foot into the elbow crease.
👉🏾 Let the fingers rest lightly on the shoulder.
👉🏾 Keep the torso facing forward.

This shape already gives us a deep, juicy stretch for the hip flexors, shoulders, and chest. It’s stable, safe, and powerful on its own.

Clasping the hands overhead might look pretty, but it’s not the goal. The goal is to explore where our body is today - with steadiness, breath, and patience. ✨

Start here. Breathe here. Celebrate here. The rest can come in time. 💕😊💪🏽

Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose) – I’ll be honest, it still challenges me. 😛🙈
Whether your hands meet easily behind or back or they feel like distant strangers, this pose is very much about noticing what’s happening in the shoulders, chest, and upper back. It’s about breathing into the tension, allowing a little wiggle. Baby steps, day after day.

Tips that help me:

✨ Keep the top shoulder active, gently pressing down.
✨ Let the bottom hand slide up the back slowly. Don’t worry if fingertips don’t meet.
✨ Use a strap if you need to bridge the gap.

The gentle effort, the stretch, the patience: it’s all part of the practice. 💕🧘🏽‍♀️🌷
Thanks and super photographer Audree Barvé for this lovely 📷

This Down Dog Split variation is a celebration of strength, stretch, and sweet release - especially through the hips. It’s not just a pose, it’s a statement: I can take up space. I can explore openness. I can breathe into bold shapes. 🧘🏽‍♀️🌷💪🏽

Here’s how to play with it:

✅ From Downward Dog, float one leg high
✅ Straighten that leg and gently open the hip
✅ Turn rooted heel inwards slightly
✅ Reach same side hand back to hold ankle on the inside
✅ Keep grounding through the standing hand and foot
✅ Let your breath move freely

It might feel weird, initially.

And that’s part of the magic - discovering how much space and possibility lives inside your body when you stop trying to “get it right.”. 💫😊

Hasta Padangusthasana: where balance, breath, and focus meet.

You grab your big toe. You may reach the leg up, up, and up. ✨ You might wobble, a bit. 🦋 And in between the effort, there’s a flash of grace - a shape that feels like it came from deep inside your bones.

This pose has great benefits. It strengthens your standing leg, opens the hamstrings and hips, builds focus, and steadies the nervous system through breath-led balance. It’s as much about letting go as it is about holding on. 🌷❤
Next time you feel inspired, let Hasta Padangusthasana challenge you. Let it teach you. It may surprise you. 💫🤗

Handstand check-in. 🤗🤸🏽‍ Flirting with the wall? Still counts. Falling with style? That’s how we learn. Progress is sometimes measured in milliseconds and defo in muscle memory.

How’s your handstand doing today?

To floor or not to floor? That is the Padottanasana’s question… 😆💫

In your standing wide leg forward fold let the crown of the head reach toward the floor (or just imagine it dramatically doing so😉).
Bend the knees if you need. Use blocks if you like. Play with shifting your weight slightly forward.

Will the top of the head reach the floor today? Or not quite? Or maybe just hover? Explore your relationship with gravity, breath, and release. So, let the pose meet you where you are today. 💕🪷🌷
