cilities include large dining rooms, lounges for relaxing and activities, a hair and beauty salon and an activity room. Outside the secure garden has raised flower beds and established trees, as well as a decked area, a patio and a range of seating areas. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy some time outside in the sunshine with loved ones.

Songs, Smiles & New Friendships at Muriel Street! 🎶

What a wonderful Friday we had! Our brand-new parent & toddler intergenerational group launched here at Muriel Street and it was absolutely brilliant.

Organised by Songs & Smiles (The Together Project), the session was full of music, dancing, bubbles and beaming faces all round. Little ones and older people came together to share songs, laughter and plenty of joyful moments with rhythm sticks clacking away and smiles of delight everywhere you looked.

The group is free to join and runs regularly here at Muriel Street. Places can be booked in advance through Songs and Smiles.
We're so excited about this collaboration and can't wait to see these new friendships grow! 💛

Yesterday we travelled to Greece — without leaving the comfort of our armchairs! ✈️🇬🇷

Our residents were transported to the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean for an afternoon packed with culture, stories and seriously good food. We learned about the ancient Olympics 🏅, heard the wonderful myth of how Athena was born and became the goddess of Athens, and got our feet tapping along to Zorba the Greek. 💃

But the undisputed highlight was the incredible homemade Greek feast prepared by our wonderful business admin, Marta. 👩‍🍳 She spent hours in the kitchen creating spanakopita, grilled chicken wings, meatballs and so much more. The smell alone was enough to whisk us straight to a taverna in Athens. Thank you, Marta — you spoiled us rotten! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. Seeing our residents smiling, sharing stories and tucking into delicious food together is what this is all about. ❤️

Next month, we're swapping the Aegean for the Irish Sea as we head to Blackpool 🎡 to fulfil a long-held wish for one of our residents. We can't wait to share that adventure with you!

☀️ When the Sun's Out, We're Out! ☀️

What a glorious day! With the sunshine beaming down, we couldn't resist heading out to the garden for a proper afternoon treat.

Our wonderful residents soaked up every ray while sipping on freshly made lemonade 🍋, enjoying some fun garden games, and listening to music in the warm breeze.

A huge thank you to our visiting nutritionist students for keeping the lemonade flowing — the perfect refreshment on such a beautiful day!

There's nothing quite like the simple joy of sunshine, good company, and a cold glass of lemonade. Here's to many more garden days ahead! 🌿☀️

For armchair travel to the USA we had a dancing balloon man which was different and brought a splash of unexpected delight to our home.

Yesterday we combined cake making with a birthday at Muriel Street.

After baking the beautiful Victoria sponge and chocolate cakes we all sang happy birthday.

Today Jordan from brought an amazing sports session to our home, and the energy in the room was fantastic!

From chair-based movement and warm-ups to balancing balls on cones and aiming for targets, everyone got involved and gave it their all.

On Tuesday we went on a trip to Paris!

We went through the customs with our passports, we toasted each other the French way, looking into each others eyes.

We tasted croissants and Brie and grapes.

We learnt about Paris and talked about our memories of travel and of love.

Yesterday at Muriel Street, we didn’t just talk about Paris – we travelled there together! 💙🤍❤️

Our journey began at passport control, where Herbert (our unofficial activities team member!) checked everyone through with his usual charm and attention to detail.

Once we’d “arrived”, we learnt the French way of toasting – looking into each other’s eyes as we raised our glasses.

We picked up some new French words, watched a beautiful documentary about the city, and shared the most wonderful memories of travel, romance, and adventures past.

By the end, we’d discovered together why Paris truly is the city of love. The conversations, the laughter, the reminiscing – it was such a stimulating afternoon for everyone.

Perfect preparation for our Valentine’s party on Friday! 💕

🗼 Bonjour from Muriel Street! 🗼

Our residents have been busy crafting this magnificent Eiffel Tower in preparation for tomorrow's armchair travel adventure to Paris!

The detail and teamwork that's gone into creating this beautiful landmark has been wonderful to see. We can't wait to virtually whisk everyone off to the City of Light tomorrow for what promises to be a très bon experience!

🇫🇷 Preparing for Paris! 🎨

This week our residents got creative making a beautiful impressionist French flag ahead of our armchair visit to Paris next week.

With French café music playing in the background, everyone shared wonderful memories of Paris whilst focusing intently on their artwork. The room was filled with excitement and concentration as vibrant blues, whites and reds came together.

We can’t wait to take our virtual journey to the City of Light next week!

When generations meet over paint and paper, something special happens ✨

Our regular enrichment sessions with Thornhill School brought dinosaurs to life today – handprint dinosaurs in every colour imaginable!

But it’s not really about the dinosaurs. It’s about the connections made, the giggles over paint-covered fingers, the pure energy that fills the room when children and residents work side by side.
