Today’s Keep the Tip (which I suppose isn’t technically a tip today) is about KOLs.
Gosh, I feel I have to add disclaimers to my posts lately, so today’s disclaimer is, I am NOT saying someone new shouldn’t be a KOL or doesn’t have value. If they bring something new to the table then everyone benefits….
BUT, if you were fresh out of medical school, would you think you had as much to bring to the table as a consultant who’s been in the role for decades? You’d have a fresh approach maybe, but you’d appreciate the need to gain experience. So why is aesthetics any different?

Not every week is out in the field, or boarding a plane. I often have a week at my desk. So I thought I would introduce a weekly review every Sunday (if it’s of interest).
Of course nobody wants to see a week of desk photos so I got creative with the photos.

If you want to speak at conferences this is for you.
I appreciate you might wonder, who made me the expert? Nobody did. However, as a muggle (non medic) who has fewer opportunities to speak on stage because (rightly so) the main focus is Medicine, I’ve not done too badly all things considered. So here are my tips..
But remember.
1. You may need some training or support to fine tune your abstract, your presenting skills and your stage presence and that’s ok. We all do.
2. You don’t HAVE to do this just because others do it. It’s fine to not want to. Life is short, do what makes you happy.
