Following our wonderful visit to Hampton Court Palace last week, a few commented about whether there was a Changing Places (which there isn't). We made contact with Hampton Court to enquire and have had the following response from them.

"A Changing Places toilet is currently at the top of our wish list. Pre-covid, we had been in the process of applying for funding for a Changing Places toilet and had been trying to find a spot on site where it could be located. Owing to the fabric of the building and the size required, we spent a long-time discussing location and were confident we would be able to install one within our grounds.

As I’m sure you’re aware, the pandemic and subsequent closures hit the organisation quite hard, which has meant a lot of the projects we were planning were put on hold.

The scheme is still very much on our radar to undertake as soon as funds permit, and we are very hopeful to have one installed by the end of 2026. In the meantime, the nearest Changing Places toilet can be located in the Bentall Centre in Kingston - 1.51 miles away from the palace.”

This is indeed, very good news 🌟

Alfie enjoying his holidays ☀️ 💦 🩵

A lovely message from his mother, Helen “Alfie is 6. He has severe CP and completely dependent on us and equipment to keep him upright, supported and safe.

The AbleSwim means we can let go in water and he can be free, it feels amazing 😊

In the wster we see Alfie move his legs and be able to interact with his sisters and get so much joy from it.

I’ve been looking for a support vest or neck float for him for the past few summers always hitting the hurdle of it being really expensive or often from a country that won’t ship to UK😔 so when I saw your post pop up on FB, I knew I had to purchase one.😊

A huge big thank you!” - Helen

We are currently selling the large swim ring for neck size 11-13 inches. Please measure before purchasing.

After 5 days in London, I am officially in love with this city! 💕🇬🇧 I have had THE BEST time here! From eating so many delicious foods at Borough Market to seeing shows on the West End to visiting the Harry Potter Studios to exploring Buckingham Palace to riding black cabs (all of which are wheelchair accessible!!) around the city and much more, London has been an absolute dream as a wheelchair user. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to London, and I can’t wait to experience more of what this amazing city has to offer!

If you have any questions about London or accessibility in London, let me know!

Lauren received her swim ring earlier this week 🩵🤍

Feedback from her Mum:

“Lauren relaxed in her hot tub and loves the weightlessness. With the AbleSwim ring, we are able to let go to allow as much independence as possible but within close reach. She otherwise requires her wheelchair with lateral supports and can only just weight bear, so this is so important for her. Without the AbleSwim ring, we used to have problems keeping Lauren’s chin & mouth out of the water despite being very careful. Thank you so much x”

Love this feedback 🩵🤍

We are currently selling the ‘large’ ring only (neck size 11 - 13” only). Small, medium and XL are in the pipeline. Please subscribe on our website to be kept in the loop.
