Acolha a o medo, culpa, dor, insegurança…

Many people ask me – How to achieve a meaningful life?

The answer is very simple: LEARNING TO LIVE YOUR LIFE ON YOUR OWN TERMS, ACCORDING TO WHAT MAKES SENSE TO YOU.

Trust what you believe. You’re the only one truly able to know what is best for you, other people are just mirroring your Light and & shadow. Absorb from people what can be useful and beneficial for you and let all the rest go with no hard feelings.

There is no such thing as ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. It’s all about resonance.

Embrace your feelings of fear, guilt, pain, insecurity... Put everything inside your heart and move forward with your own legs.

Only you can create the beautiful life you want to live and when you trust your infinite wisdom, the entire Universe conspires in your favour.

THE WORLD NEEDS YOU BEING YOU, NOT A REPLICA OF OTHER PEOPLE'S DESIRES / IDEOLOGIES.

Kind reminder: You know better!

The same scenario can be a disaster for one person and a huge opportunity for another. But why is it so?

When something happens, the only thing you can really control your is your attitude; you can either accept it and move towards the solution or create resistance and emotional distress.

🎯 Regardless of what is happening around you, make sure you are aligned with your best actions, based on mental clarity instead of strong emotions (such as fear, anger, stress, resentment), and naturally the solution will flow through the path of least resistance.

"Be so completely yourself that everyone else around you feels safe to be themselves too." - If I could give anyone one single piece of advice, this would be the one.

Having the courage to be yourself is the key to activate all your vortices of self-love, creativity, awareness, empowerment, fulfilment. Not only in you but also through you, inspiring those ones around to embrace their own light.

Are you living in a state of compulsion 😵‍💫?

Compulsion is the primordial nature of addiction. People display compulsions in so many ways, and contrary to what we might think most compulsions aren’t evident (when we think of an addiction the first things that pop up on our mental screen are things like drugs, alcoholism, smoking...), they’re normally hidden in our mental and emotional bodies totally unnoticed.
Check out some of the classic symptoms:

• repetitive thoughts and feeling of “mental diarrhea”
• continuous talking, and/or feeling uncomfortable with silence
• stress
• short breathing
• hurry
• boredom and loneliness
• anguish
• anxiety

✨ The good news is that it’s very simple to get out of this compulsive cycle: Just start practicing being more aware and active in your life.

• Do things calmly and mindfully (No more brushing teeth while peeing & checking whatsapp, ok?)
• Increasing moments of contemplation
• Being in contact with nature
• Exploring deeply the 5 senses
• And the most important thing: BREATHING consciously!

Now its your turn: Have you ever noticed how much time in your day you manage to keep yourself fully AWARE of your actions and feelings?

Yin and Yang: Two halves that mutually form the wholeness of Qi. The combination of these two energies makes life possible.

The yin aspect of yin-yang represents contemplation, passiveness, calmness, stillness, coolness. It is associated with feminine energy. On the other side, the Yang aspect is represented by action, expansion, heat, movement, and strength, being associated with masculine energy.

When life-force energy is appropriately balanced between Yin and Yang, it flows smoothly maintaining and promoting a good state of physical and emotional health. However, Balance between yin and yang is not about equal shares but rather natural harmony.

In the Meditation for Behavioural Awareness Programme you will learn to cultivate your Yin energy and elevate your mind to its highest potential. Book today your free initial call at www.atmalaboratory.com and start living your dream life effortlessly!

Today's article on our blog: Let's talk about Nutrition & Supplements! 🍎

Vitamins and minerals are fundamental for our bodies to function properly, and since we are unable to make these important molecules ourselves (differently from enzymes and hormones) we need to get them from other sources - mostly from our diet.

With this in mind, how can we figure out if it is sensible to invest in multivitamins and supplements? And more than this, how can we really understand what is worthy and reliable on the store’s shelves?

One of Taoism’s most important concepts and the cornerstone philosophy of the Atma Laboratory is wu wei. Wu wei means – in Chinese – non-doing or ‘doing nothing’. It sounds like a pleasant invitation to relax… or worse, fall into laziness or apathy. Yet this concept is key to the noblest kind of action according to Taoism.

According to the central text of Taoism, the Tao Te Ching: ‘The Way never acts yet nothing is left undone’. This is the paradox of wu wei. It doesn’t mean not acting, it means ‘effortless action’ or ‘actionless action’. It means being at peace while engaged in the most frenetic tasks so that one can carry these out with maximum skill and efficiency.

Wu wei refers to the cultivation of a state of being in which our actions are effortlessly in alignment with the flow of the elemental cycles of the natural world. It is a kind of “going with the flow” that is characterised by great ease and awareness, in which —without any effort— we are able to respond perfectly to whatever situations arise. Wu wei shows that when we stop making waves, and learn to wait and watch, we see outside forces more clearly and make wiser moves.

15/03/2022

Flower Therapy, or Flower Essence Therapy, is a form of complementary and alternative medicine based on the healing vibrational properties of the vegetal realm.

The essences are liquid preparations that contain the energy imprint from a particular flower, plant or tree. Using the power of the sun and water to extract these vibrations, essences can help transform attitudes, behaviours and emotions to restore positive state of wellbeing.

Are flower remedies safe?

Flower Remedies are safe and have no side-effects, contraindications or interaction with other medicines. They come usually as liquids in dropper bottles, so you can either drop the remedy directly onto your tongue or mix it into a glass of water to drink.

Among the best-known essences are the English Bach Flower Remedies and also the Saint Germain Flower Essences, made from wild flowers harvested in the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest.

Flower therapy at the Ātma Laboratory

At the Ātma Laboratory, Flower Therapies can be used individually or in combination with our other therapeutic approaches. Their role is to facilitate and assist the healing process, gently clearing low vibration frequencies and harmonising the energy field.

We create personalised flower blends for your treatment, according to your needs and emotional state. We also create particular blends to assist specific conditions and situations, such as travel, public speech, presentations, special moments and harmonisation for couples.

14/03/2022

We've all had those days when it seems that there's nothing but one problem after another.

Times like these can blindside us, but we can emerge from them much wiser and stronger. Here are some top do's, don'ts, and things to remember when it feels like everything is going wrong:

1. Accept, accept and accept!

Accept what is, no matter what. You won’t be able to change what have already happened, so the quicker you accept it, the sooner you will tap into a state of non-resistance. You may still want to change things, but with a neutral attitude any action you take to improve your situation will be more effective.

2. Everything is temporary, even this.

Everything in life is temporary. So if things are going bad, don’t worry, it can’t last forever. The key is not to get attached but learn to flow with the natural current of life.

3. Be grateful.

You still have food to eat, a warm bed sleep in, fresh air to breath. Gratitude gives you a wider perspective that helps you feel less overwhelmed by difficult circumstances. Still can't find anything to be grateful for? Well, then remember: nothing is too bad that couldn't have been even worst. Realise that whatever have happened to you might not be the worst scenario.

4. Let go of "what should have been" and focus on what is.

Ruminating on what should have happened in the past will not only prevent you from living the present peacefully, but can also impair your future. So let go of the past, and the past will let go of you.

5. It is YOU who ultimately choose how to react.

It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that will set the tone of that challenging situation. The sooner we realise that, YES, you can control your reactions despite what did or didn't happen on that day, the sooner you will move away from the chaos and dive into inner peace.

6. Remember things, even those that seem small, that are going right in your life.

Even when everything seems to be going wrong, you can still find things that are going well. The natural negative bias of our brains often highlights the negatives, and blinkers us to those okay things, but they are still there, so grab a piece of paper and write them down.

7. Move your body, even if it's just walking for 10 minutes

The levels of chemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, stress hormones and endorphins, change when you exercise. Exercising, even if it's just a 10 min walk, will regulate your emotions, improve your sense of control, resilience and self-esteem.

8. Read and reread motivational, inspirational, or encouraging words from others.

Inspiration give us a more open, energetic and positive vision, especially during hard times. It can help us re-imagine our lives, gives us hope and offers us a sense of what could be possible.

9. Give yourself a minute to reset.

Give yourself some time to assess damages, sort out what can and cannot be done, or just get out of the middle of the situation. Then, start to draw your next steps, slowly and mindfully - the direction is more important than speed.

10. Look for the lesson.

Sometimes painful moments can teach us things that we didn't even think we needed to learn. Instead of staring at grief and resentment, change your perspective and make the most of what went wrong. Remember, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Mindful eating reconnect us with our innate inner wisdom about hunger and satiety and helps silencing any judgements towards food.

It helps us become aware of our thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations related to eating, and here are 8 steps to start eating mindfully:

#1. Begin with the shopping list:
Consider the nutritional value of every item you add to your list and stick to it to avoid impulse buying when you're shopping. Avoid going shopping when you're hungry!

#2. Eat when you are hungry:
Hunger signals that your body is ready to receive food. When you wait till they’re hungry to eat, that meal will give you much more pleasure and satisfaction than if you were not hungry.

#3. Eat in small portions:
It may be very helpful to limit the size of your plate, and, if after finishing that portion you are still hungry, go ahead until you feel satisfied.

#4. Appreciate your food:
Pause for a moment before you begin eating to contemplate everything and everyone it took to bring the meal to your table. Express your gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy delicious food and the companions you're enjoying it with.

#5. Bring all your senses to the meal:
When you're cooking, serving, and eating your food, be attentive to color, texture, aroma, and even the sounds different foods make as you prepare them. As you chew your food, try identifying all the ingredients.

#6. Take small bites and eat slowly:
It's easier to taste food completely when your mouth isn't full. You may find helpful to put down your utensil between bites.

#7. Chew thoroughly:
Chew well until you can taste the essence of the food. (You may have to chew each mouthful 20 to 40 times, depending on the food.) You may be surprised at all the flavours that are released.

#8. Don't starve, and don't stuff:
You could eat more, but if you did, you’d lose that lovely feeling of lightness and likely end up bloated, your pants too tight. When you are in mindful of your hunger and satiety signals, you will feel better and have a lot more energy throughout the day.”

Try out these tips in your next meal and enjoy all the benefits that comes with eating consciously! 🍝

What would you do with no fear? Whatever it is, start dreaming about it.

Go to bed at night thinking about the great life you are going to have. Visualize it — make a dream board with your goals and start seeing the possibilities. Know that it is going to happen, don’t allow doubt to color your thoughts.

Surround yourself with others who have overcome their fears and who support your dreams.

Take the risk. There is nothing worse in life than regret. Fear of failure is so much worse than actual failure. And from actual failure we can learn how to improve and what to do better the next time.

Do not hesitate, and stop wasting opportunities — your life is precious.

No matter who you are, you deserve to have the life you want and not be short changed by your own fears.

What would you do if you had no fear? Comment below to share your thoughts!

Mindful Living in a nutshell: "Absolute perfection is here and now, not in some future, near or far. The secret is in action - here and now."

08/03/2022

Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water. Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible, nothing can surpass it.

The soft overcomes the hard; the gentle overcomes the rigid... Everyone knows that is true, but few can put it into practice. ॐ
