What happens during PRP treatment?
1. Blood is drawn from a vein in the arm
2. The blood is then processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma and this is then processed further to separate a proteins called growth factors that are involved to supercharge your body’s natural healing process.
3. This liquid is then injected into the affected areas; skin, hair, joints, knee, shoulders etc.
4. 3 sessions every 2 weeks.
PRP recovery
Patients may experience localised pain and swelling from their injection site. It will subside over 24-48 hours.
