🥒🥦🥬👩🏻‍🍳 Sunflower Raw Pate (or dip depends on the consistency). Made from:
- 100 gr organic raw sunflower seeds left in water overnight, washed and drained
- 15 gr parsley, 15 gr dill
- 1 celery
- Organic flaxseed oil
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 tsp of organic tahini or sunflower seeds butter
Arranged on baby lettuce leaves with sweet pepper and sprouted sunflower seeds.

It’s a boost of nutrients and a very healthy and savoury snack (or lunch).

♾These are the intentions I set when I practice yoga for 2022, at least in the first part.

♾Last year I made a series of decisions that together should lead me to better changes, growth and awareness in my life.

🔛But in order to follow through with them I am to learn what I say YES to and what I say NO to. And to bring back a ruthless discipline in my life.

🧘🏻‍♀️My yoga practice represents the space where I get to sharpen, polish and master the discipline and consistency in order to master my wondering mind and my wobbly body.

🧘🏻‍♀️A pose that calls me and that I find it as a milestone for my journey is the Pincha Mayurasana - known as the forearm stand.

💪🏻This pose challenges my mind because I always want to give up within the first seconds of just standing on my forearms. It challenges my body because it makes me feel aware that I am not engaging my core, my breath, my legs and so on.

🙌🏻So I decided for the 1st quarter of this year to focus on practicing the discipline & consistency by becoming one with this pose (yes, it sounds very philosophical :D)

🧘🏻‍♀️Each day I will show up and after a full yoga practice & meditation I will allocate 10 more min on strengthening my upper body and getting one step closer to the full expression of this pose.

🧘🏻‍♀️Shanti is a Sanskrit term meaning "peace."

♥️🕊More than ever I feel it makes sense to start the year 2022 with peace of mind, soul and body. The world around us goes through so much change and a lot of this is driven by fear, violence and judgment. I wish to all of us peace on Earth and peace in our hearts.

♾In both Hindu and Buddhist practices, shanti is often chanted three times to represent threefold peace in body, mind and spirit.

🕊In yoga, the mantra Om Shanti Shanti Shanti is often used at the end of a practice as an invocation of inner peace. This same mantra may also be used to close a Hindu or Buddhist worship service as a blessing of peace over the congregation.

🧘🏻‍♀️In India, Om Shanti is commonly used as a form of greeting upon meeting or parting with another person, much in the same way that Namaste is used. In this sense, Om Shanti can be translated as "peace be with you.’"

🧘🏻‍♀️In meditation practice, Om Shanti can also be used as a mantra in order to develop concentration and focus the mind.

ROASTED ROOTS VEGETABLE SOUP

❄️January 2022. Winter. Cold and wet, too wet in some days when you just want to snuggle and eat something warm that makes your tummy happy.

🥕🧄🥔Roasted root vegetable soup is one of my go-to dishes and recipes whenever I feel low.

🍲Its therapy and mindfulness in a bowl. Cooking this recipe sends me in a flow state where nothing else exists than me and the vegetables and all the focus goes in the present moment in preparing this rich and tasty soup.

👩🏻‍🍳I love the process of peeling, roasting, blending as much as I love eating the final result. I play with the colours of the roots when I arrange them on the tray….nature’s painting with deep beautiful colours.

🍲The smell of the roasted roots, garlic and rosemary….the soft, mushy form they get…it’s all an intimate process of transforming something from roots into a truly delicious and nurturing bowl of creamy soup.

🧘🏻‍♀️This is what I call comfort food that adds to my happiness.

🧘🏻‍♀️♾Bandhas are energetic locks located throughout the body that can be accessed through muscle contraction.

There are four main bandhas in the body:

⚜️Mula Bandha – the root lock

⚜️Jalandhara Bandha – the throat lock

⚜️Uddiyana Bandha – lifting of the diaphragm lock

⚜️Maha Bandha – all three locks at the same time

♾Bandha are extremely important for the brain centres, the nadis (channels through which prana streams) and the chakras (energy centres). They purify, remove blockages and harmonise and balance the self.

🤲🏻Asteya, or nonstealing, calls us to live with integrity and reciprocity. If we are living in fears and lies, our dissatisfaction with ourselves and our lives leads us to look outward, with a tendency to steal what is not rightfully ours.

😔We steal from others, we steal from the earth, we steal from the future, and we steal from ourselves.

😔We steal from our own opportunity to grow ourselves into the person who has a right to have the life they want.

😔When we feel unhappy with ourselves or our lives, we have a tendency to drag people down with us or make snide comments that come from jealousy.

♥️When we are genuinely caring of the other, that caring finds expression in ways that feel supportive and tender to the other.

🪔CRYSTAL SINGING BOWL SOUND BATH

💆🏻‍♀️This was my first time attending a sound bath experience and I’m so happy it was with Maria, Daughter North. I found out about this event from her yoga classes, and I believe that everything happens for a reason and YOU ARE WHERE YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE. And I was….

🕯The event was something so wonderful, blissful, full of warmth and a lovely energy overall. Maria prepared the room with fairy lights, mattresses, a superb crystal pouch with lavender and a hidden message under the mat that we uncovered at the end of the session.

♾🧘🏻‍♀️The whole singing bowl sound bath was an experience at a higher level than I ever felt. Tingles, shivers, energy flow, release, letting go. I am already booking her next event and will be joining with my partner. This is not the type of a one time session.

🙏Thank you Maria for sharing your light! And also for all the touches and preparations. It matters!
