Congratulations!

Our Resident Doctor Committee co-chairs Dr Anthony Martinelli and Dr Catherine Rowan met earlier this week with Professor Sir Chris Whitty and Sir Steve Powis to talk about what matters to .
Joined by Dr Mumtaz Patel, who is acting as RCP president, they discussed our campaign which is calling for:
• a four-nation review of postgraduate medical training more detail on the promised medical school expansion
•a plan to increase the capacity of educators, supervisors, mentors and trainers
protected time for career development for all doctors more granular data to inform future projections of the number
of specialty training places we need.

1o Facilitated 155 educational programmes and courses to over
3,800 attendees
17 Celebrated 30 years of our leading national accreditation programme, the Joint Advisory Group on Gl Endoscopy
= Over 8 million people visited RCP journals, Clinical Medicine and Future Healthcare Journal
Our historic collections were seen by over 400,000 people at
top venues including Tate Britain and Kensington Palace
Thank you to all our hundreds of volunteers including our regional advisers and representatives, college and associate college tutors, college officers, RCP Council members, editors, committee chairs and members, examiners and garden fellows who have helped make this year.

We were delighted to welcome over 375 diplomates and their families to celebrate their fantastic achievements at our London HQ this week. We have also awarded Professor Laura Viani, President of , Associate Professor Kerin Fielding, President of and Armando Mansilha honorary fellowships. Additionally, we have awarded Michael Bath the Sir Cecil Wakeley Medal for the most read Annals article written by a trainee.

Welcome home Diplomates!
More than 200 surgeons received their diplomas this week as part of the College's historic Diplomate Presentation Ceremonies.
Our new fellows and members celebrated their incredible achievements with family, friends, College Council and staff at the first ceremonies to take place in our transformed home of surgery.
As Professor Averil Mansfield said in her address 'This is now your College. Its future is in your hands! We can't wait to see how our new members will help to make this the best professional home in the world.
Together, we're changing the face of surgery.
