Mental health matters deeply, but it’s not linear, and it’s not simple.
When I went on a weightloss journey back in 2017 I learnt first hand the power of the mind.
Since then I became fascinated. I dived deeply into learning about human behaviour, the mind, motivations and limitations. This journey has taken me into the realms of the seen and unseen forces behind life and It has been incredibly treacherous and difficult to navigate at times.
Mental health matters deeply, but it’s not linear, and it’s not simple.
It’s not as easy as changing your thoughts or rewriting your beliefs. It’s not just about feeling your feelings or thinking your way into healing. It’s far more intricate and far more tender.
The mind is a powerful force, but left unchecked, it can weave us into stories that isolate. It can create walls where we long for bridges and It can pull us into spirals that convince us we are separate, alone and unworthy.
Mental health matters because it shapes the lens through which we experience everything.
It influences how we see each other, how we hear each other, how we relate to the world beyond our own eyes, how we tell the stories of who we are. It touches the way we speak, the way we listen, the way we connect. It’s not just internal, it’s relational.
Mental health doesn’t live in isolation. It lives in our nervous system and our interactions. It determines how we show up in the world, and how the world feels in return.
The mind can be a minefield and we’re all walking through it separately, together. We will trip each other’s wires. We will detonate each other’s wounds. We will be thrown off course, shaken, stretched.
But beneath the noise of the mind, there is something quieter, something intelligent, something wise. Where the mind fractures and divides, this force remembers and unites.
This force weaves through all of life as a gentle, quiet, unbreakable current. It is in this rhythm we will find connection to ourselves, each other and something greater. And this current is at the heart of everything and my work is guiding you to it; so deeply, so wholly, that you never again forget who you are.
When we’re connected to that thread, we remember our nature. We remember we belong. Even in moments of loneliness, anxiety, desperation, fear, confusion and doubt, we have a remembrance. We begin to see these states not as signs of failure, but as sacred messengers, guiding us, teaching us, calling us home.
It’s human to drift. It’s human to lose your way. Sometimes we dig ourselves into the dark, forgetting the light we carry. Sometimes we become so tangled in the noise of life, we forget the sound of our own soul.
But this forgetting is not an end, it’s the beginning of remembering.
Eventually, we all find our way to the thread. We are all knowingly or unknowingly navigating that dance, walking each other to remembrance, walking each other back home.
Beneath the chaos of the mind is a deeper intelligence. One that knows how to heal. One that knows how to connect. To see the world through the lens of the heart.
In holding that truth for ourselves and for each other, then even in the mess there is meaning. Even in the rupture, there is repair. Even in the noise, there is stillness waiting to be found.
So In moments you feel you’ve lost your way, like the darkness has taken over and you’re consumed in suffering. Straighten your spine, breathe deeply and stay just long enough to remember.
