One way to boost your immunity is by enjoying a well balanced meal as often as you can, wether you are eating out or eating at home.

Here is an example for you to save & come back to, to remind yourself before you start your food shop, prepare & cook your meals or when you choose a meal when you are on the go or out for dinner.

Think fun, nutritious & colourful 🌈

The whole purpose of eating is to derive energy from your food & you need high quality energy, not empty calories - especially when your body is really & truly hungry.

Ideally choosing low sugar fruits which will help to balance blood sugar levels but of course don't feel the need to restrict yourself too much with a rainbow variety.

5 tips to help overcome binge eating

First of all, what is it?

Binge eating involves consuming large quantities of food very quickly, even when not hungry, and to the point of being uncomfortable. Almost everyone overeats once in a while, but it can also become a disorder.

Over 1.6 million people in the UK are estimated to be directly affected by eating disorders. This is likely to be an underestimate as we know there is a huge level of unmet need in the community.

Do you ever feel really indecisive about which step to take next in life or just generally feel like you don't know where to start when it comes to improving you health?

The Wheel of Life is a coaching tool that we go through together on your 2nd session (after completing your health history).

It's used to assess & understand how balanced your life currently is and shows us from a birds eye view which areas need prioritizing and which areas need & don't need our attention.

It's also a lovely reminder to see how far you've come, so there are proud moments & stories shared.

The key message to take away from this session is appreciating how interconnected the different parts of your life truly are & how they can have a knock on effect on your over health & wellbeing.

When we focus a lot of our attention to only 1 or 2 areas of our life, we can only go so far until life forces us to focus on the other areas, which of course can get messy.

Neglecting parts of our life can be detrimental to our health, so giving more of our energy & love to nourish all areas where we possible can, is key to living abundantly.

Finding balance has been a massive part of my health journey so far which is simply why I love the concept of Health Coaching & the wheel of life session.

Together, we come up with a plan of action for you to make the best necessary steps moving forward. There are lots of discoveries, light bulb moments & breakthroughs.

Reduce your toxic exposure at home by swapping out your aluminum tin foil for baking paper or another low toxic alternative.

Most of us have used aluminum foil for various different reasons throughout our lives and it's just always been the norm which now = a big habit.

Aluminum is a neurotoxic heavy metal that has been linked to health issues, such as Alzheimer’s disease, bone disease, as well as malfunction of certain parts of your brain: memory decline, loss of coordination and body control.

Yes aluminum is found in a lot of places & items we have in our home / work places i.e. pots & pan, cooking utensils, deodorants, cosmetics, frozen dinners, baby formula etc.. the list unfortunately goes on.

Reducing our toxic exposure as much as we can is super important.

Making simple swaps can really help benefit you & your families health long term.

Tips & alternatives:

💚Storing food - use glass containers
💚Baking - use glass, ceramic, stainless steel, silicone baking mat sheets, parchment paper.
💚Grilling - use cedar grilling papers, grill baskets
💚Wrapping food that you want to grill or bake - cedar wraps.
💚Wrapping food for packed lunches - reusable wax wraps.
