The procedure takes between 15-30 minutes to perform, and is quick, safe, and painless. Using a microscope to view the ear wax, ear canal and eardrum, the audiologist can always see what they are doing, making it much safer for them and you. We strongly advise the use of olive oil drops in the ears prior to the appointment to make the wax softer. If the wax is hard and deeply impacted then the procedure may have to be repeated on a following visit, which is free of charge.
