Goodnight Poetry lovers

I love this ❤️

You were not born to struggle. You were not born to live a life where the moments of joy are few and far between. You were not born to toil in your work five days a week, with fleeting moments of happiness on weekends. You were not born to live with limited energy, feeling exhausted at the end of each day. You were not born to worry or be afraid. You were not born to suffer. What would be the point of your life? You are meant to experience life to its fullest and have everything you want and, at the same time, be filled with joy, health, vitality, excitement, and love, because that is an amazing life. — Rhonda Byrne

Have a wonderful weekend!

"Shame dies when stories are told in safe places." It's amazing and liberating how shame about something or ourselves disappears when the story has been shared. It's like anything that dwells in the dark, one need simply shine light upon it and it's no longer scary.

“Very game in life is actually played on... the space between your ears”

Martina Navratilova was once asked, “How do you maintain your focus, physique and sharp game even at the age of 43?"

She gave a humble reply, “The ball doesn’t know how old I am”. You need to stop yourself from stopping yourself. Every game in life is actually played on a 6-inch ground – the space between your two ears. We don't live in bungalows, duplexes, or flats. We live in our mind which is an unlimited area. Life is great when things are sorted and uncluttered there. Keeping the mind messy with hatred growing on the table, regrets piling up in the corner, expectations boiling in the kitchen, secrets stuffed under the carpet, and worries littered everywhere ruin this real home.

The key factor to performing well in life and in every arena is the ability to control the quality and quantity of your “internal dialogue”. Performance is potential minus internal interference. Live in peace, not in pieces.

For all who need it today (and me) just a reminder from an old journal...❤️

“Traditionally, psychotherapy was focused on the individual’s personal history alone, but over the decades, it is evolving to consider the context of human culture. A person’s despair or anxiety cannot be tended to without considering the values, or lack of values, in which we are bred, such as poverty, racism, patriarchy, and capitalism. Conversely, the work we are doing at the level of the Self is contributing to our collective evolution.

As we dethrone our inner tyrants, we are contributing to the emancipation of people power in the world. As we replenish our inner scarcities, we are helping to create a culture that values and provides for its visionaries and outcasts. As we smash the influence of the patriarchy within, we are giving rise to Eros in the world. We are changing consciousness from the inside outwards.”

It happens to those who live alone... a beautiful poem about resilience and creativity in silence by David Whyte

IT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO LIVE ALONE

It happens to those
who live alone
that they feel sure
of visitors
when no one else
is there.

until the one day
and the one
particular
hour
working in the
quiet garden,

when they realize
at once,
that all along
they have been
an invitation
to everything
and every kind
of trouble

and that life
happens by
to those who
inhabit
silence

like the bees
visiting
the tall mallow
on their legs of gold,
or the wasps
going from
door to door
in the tall forest
of the daisies.

I have my freedom
today
because nothing
really happened

and nobody came
to see me,
only the slow
growing of the garden
in the summer heat

and the silence
of that
unborn life
making itself
known at my desk,

my hands
still
dark
with the crumbling
soil
as I write
and watch

the first lines
of a new poem
like flowers
of scarlet fire
coming to fullness
in a clear light.

“this is the thing about people dying. you can keep their friendship. i miss him more than ever, but i also feel his friendship with me more than ever. his words, his presence, his voice.

friends die. their friendship maybe doesn’t have to.

if you’re alone and you’re missing anyone dead right now, i feel you.”

Being stressed and having an anxiety disorder are not the same thing. Feeling stressed or anxious is normal, it’s all about how we cope. We can build resiliency which allows us to cope better with both the challenges and the daily hassles, making stress manageable and controlling anxiety.
