You create thoughts, hold them, dissolve them, and choose to reveal or conceal what’s really going on and who is really in charge, and you do it again.

To recognise that the space of expanded self-awareness between thoughts is their unchanging ground is supremely empowering and liberating, for in doing so, you realise that you are always choosing your experience of reality, and you can choose differently.

You are not and have never been the victim of circumstance, for no one else can determine your inner state for you. Only you can do that.”

Did you know that sitting in a deep squat (a.k.a. the “resting squat”) is one of the best things you can do for your mobility and overall health? 🌿💪 If you’ve been to my classes, you know this is a staple - particularly because I notice so many people struggling with it.

I’m probably preaching to the converted BUT sitting in a squat:

✅ Boosts Hip, Knee & Ankle Mobility – Helps maintain natural range of motion and prevents stiffness.
✅ Supports Spine & Posture – Encourages a neutral spine position, reducing back pain.
✅ Aids Constipation & Circulation – This natural position can improve gut health and blood flow.
✅ Builds Lower Body Strength – Engages muscles without the strain of heavy lifting.

💡 Try this: Hold a deep squat for 1-5 minutes daily. Use support at first if needed—your body will adapt!

I’m guilty of permanent resting bitch face but doing my best to change this and smile more. Truly, smiles are the ultimate life hack. They cost nothing, suit every outfit, and have the power to light up a room—and a heart.

“You cannot be more beautiful or more perfect than you already are in this moment. Yet you are not currently experiencing reality that way due to your misperception of yourself. The primary purpose of spiritual practice is to destabilise deep-seated, skewed mental constructs about yourself, constructs that you project onto others in your life.”

These words from in **railluminated (page 67) are a timely reminder for me. I’ve been letting my ego and inner critic get me down lately and it’s no surprise that it coincides with me not 100% keeping to my rituals and practice of meditation.

Despite the positive feedback from students, clients, friends and family, the deep wound of ‘not being enough’ or worthy creeps into my thoughts. Or I sometimes project my own insecurities and thoughts onto others. Or I compare myself to others and feel like I need to be ‘doing more’ instead of ‘just being’.

But I know this can be remedied when I sit still in silence. I realise I am more than what my mind is telling me. I am part of something much greater and more vast. I am an extension of source energy, or higher consciousness. We all are. And nothing is more beautiful or blissful to recognise than that.

You are not only part of the whole, you are the Whole. Realising this brings the experience of joyous freedom because you perceive that with all the infinite options available to Her, Consciousness still chose to become you.

And furthermore, you are not a static entity but a dancing pattern of energy, an unfolding process- a perfect and integral instantiation of the divine process by which God/the Divine/Consciousness reflects upon itself and expresses itself.

All sentient beings, seen and unseen, are simply different forms of one divine Consciousness, which looks out at the universe that is its own body through uncountable pairs of eyes. To make it personal: you are not separate from God/dess, the Divine, and never have been. Indeed, you are the very means by which She knows Herself.
