CALLUSES or CORN

Know the difference!
Both are very very common and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

Corns and calluses are hard, painful areas of skin that often develop on the feet in response to pressure or friction. This can be due to bad footwear, walking barefoot and lack of moisture. It’s a response from your body which is trying to protect the area from injury, pressure or friction.

Calluses normally develop on the soles of the feet, especially under the heels or balls.

Corns have a distinct, often hard, center, which may be surrounded by inflamed skin.
Calluses aren’t usually painful but corns usually are when pressed.
