Did you know? This tiny bump on an embryo's belly called the ge***al tubercle, can actually be seen on an ultrasound scan by week 9! The ge***al tubercle eventually becomes either a p***s or a cl****is, allowing gender determination around weeks 13-14.

At London Pregnancy Clinic, our team recently experienced a heartwarming moment during a 29-week ultrasound. We observed a precious sight: a baby seemingly placing a tiny finger to their lips as if requesting a bit of silence! 😊

Here's a fascinating overview of their auditory development:
- By 18 weeks, babies' ears have developed to the point where they begin to pick up muffled sounds from the external environment.
- By 24 weeks, their hearing sharpens, allowing them to differentiate between various sounds and even recognize voices.
- Around 25-26 weeks, babies may start responding to these sounds with movements such as kicks or changes in heart rate.

It appears that even in the womb, our little ones might appreciate a peaceful environment on a Bank Holiday Monday! We at London Pregnancy Clinic are delighted to share these delightful moments and insights into fetal development with our patients.
