Pleased to show case some radiographic shots from our latest TMJ ( Jaw Joint ) Replacement. From precision planning to ex*****on. Patient specific implants are gold standard which of course fit well but reduce operating time. Our patient is just under 3 weeks post procedure but all is looking good. The aims are total reduction in pain and unrestricted mouth opening which were the concerns prior. Follow for more updates! 👊

Sometimes benign skin cancers ( basal cell carcinomas ) can appear as innocent lesions which are non healing, bleed and ulcerate. Treatment is often surgery and carefully done, scars can be inconspicuous. Prevention is the use of regular sun protection. Its never too late to start! Have a lesion on the head & neck ? Maxillofacial Surgery not only deals with treatment of facial injuries, oro-facial cancers and reconstruction. Facial plastic surgery and non-surgical treatments are also performed on a regular basis.
Synthetic dermal fillers are commonly injected to the lips and cheeks to for augmentation and contouring.
For thin lips overuse of filler is not indicated and a staged approach can be employed.
There are lots of dermal fillers to choose from but practitioners often elect for sodium hyaluronate based products as they can be dissolved in the event of a vascular emergency. As always knowing the anatomy is crucial to get the right depth of injection, slow injection and the ability to deal with complications are important.

This patient was injected with Juvederm Volift and was the culmination of treatment.

Treatment Time:- 30 mins
Downtime:- Minimal
Results:- Immediate but results will continue to vary as the product is hydrophilic and will absorb water molecules
Duration:- 9-12 months

Previously we had done Orthognathic Surgery for her followed by invisalign ( Surgery First ) to improve the incisor show as well as performing genioplasty and rhinoplasty.
