At Helping Hands, we love celebrating the incredible people who make a real difference every day. Today, we’re proud to share Adyanna’s story - one of passion, purpose, and a genuine commitment to person-centered care.

“Growing up, care was always part of my world. My Nana was a carer for the council, and my mum has worked in care for over a decade. Watching their dedication left a lasting impression on me. I started working in care just before turning 17, alongside my mum while still in college, and I haven’t looked back since.”

Adyanna joined Helping Hands in March 2024 at just 19 years old and has been making an incredible impact ever since.

“What I enjoy most is getting to know each client’s routine and personal preferences. There’s something incredibly meaningful about being able to brighten someone’s day - even more so knowing that we might be the only friendly face they see. That motivates me to always deliver the highest standard of person-centered care. Helping Hands is a fantastic company for people who genuinely care about making a difference and creating positive moments in others’ lives.”

Fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, and this week, our Support Office team brought that spirit to life with one of our wellbeing walks around Alcester.

This activity is an important part of helping our team stay connected, support one another, and reinforce the community spirit at the heart of everything we do.

It was a lovely moment to step away from our desks, enjoy the fresh air, chat with colleagues, and spend a moment in the heart of the community we’re proud to serve 💜

I would recommend Helping Hands above other care providers. I have had other care providers previously for my Mum and all others have not been of the standard that Helping Hands are.

If you are thinking of going to direct payments or pay for care yourself, you cannot go wrong with Helping Hands. Carers have been superb, and nothing is too much trouble. The carers adhere to the care plan, are respectful and compassionate and are never rushing or saying they don’t have enough time to do things (which I have experienced with previous agencies)

My daughter suffers from anxiety and staff including the manager go above and beyond to reassure my daughter whenever she is worried about something. They do all the work expected of them but also have the time to just listen… which is an important skill to have.

“Since arranging for Helping Hands to assist with Mum who has Dementia, I have found a the whole process to be relatively stress free!
Communication is very good, notifications of any changes are explained when need be, Mum’s care is paramount and Linda who visits Mum, has assisted in calming Mum when need be.

The attention to detail continued in Mum’s care plan is so reassuring, they have noted everything. The entry notes of visits are comprehensive and again so reassuring as you can see they are following what is asked.
