Andri researched with friends and felt she wanted to donate her hair and raise as much money as she could to help children who have sadly lost their hair to illnesses.

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.

The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.

Please donate whatever you can to help Andri reach her goal.

An oldie but a goodie! We love this photo of Sydney, displaying the fantastic artistic skills of mum Sarah. An eggsample of how having alopecia can provide eggstra opportunities for face/body paint! 💙

*MY LIFE .... MY BRAND*

Let's get some things straight right off the bat: Alopecia is not a sign of cancer or that someone is going through chemotherapy.
Not everyone who has alopecia loses all their hair (I just choose to shave/wax off all of mine). And, of course, it's not something anyone needs to be ashamed of. Unfortunately, far too many people with alopecia have been subject to misinformation and harmful assumptions, leaving them feeling insecure which is heartbreaking because I use to feel that way in the past, simply because I hadn't educated myself on my condition. So let's get to the facts.

There are several kinds of alopecia and they all include some level of hair loss. As SELF wrote previously, there are three main types of alopecia areata: There's patchy alopecia (which is exactly what I have, this causes patchy hair loss), which can progress into alopecia totalis (which causes total hair loss on the scalp) and alopecia unversalis (which causes total hair loss all over the body).

Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune condition in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the hair follicles, and research suggests that both genetics and environmental factors play a role in developing it. But the exact cause isn't well understood.

Just like Education, sanitary towels are basic needs every girl should have to stay hygienic during her menstrual period.

**Help us**

Jenny's Foundation and Bald2Bold UK aims to help provide a girls talk workshops and menstrual products, so that period poverty doesn't force girls to miss out.
And that’s why we’re asking you to help us Invest in a girl’s hygiene, and unlock her confidence. Your donation today could help a girl open the door to a brighter future

*What is period poverty?*

Period poverty is a global issue affecting those who don’t have access to the safe, hygienic menstrual products they need, and/or who are unable to manage their periods with dignity, sometimes due to community stigma and sanction.

It doesn't just refer to those who have no access to menstrual products; in some cases, limited access to these products leads to prolonged use of the same tampons or pads, which can cause infection.

Around the world, consequences of period poverty can include:

Girls often miss one or more days of school during their periods, which negatively impacts their education. In Africa, for example, some girls will miss as much as 20% of their school year; some may drop out of school altogether. The loss of education can mean girls are more likely to be forced into child marriage.
There are serious health risks when people are forced to use dirty rags which can cause infection. Risks can be greater if the women or girl has undergone female ge***al mutilation

Due to community stigma, some may feel persistent shame and fear during their periods, and in some cases face social sanctions

Beauty isn't just about hair, because as TLC said "you can buy hair if it won't grow" 😍❤

SHAMING BEAUTIFUL WOMEN WITH HAIRLOSS IS A DISGUSTING IMMATURE BEHAVIOUR AND VERY SHALLOW.
GOD is LOVE and we are all made in his image.

I believe that we are who we choose to be. Nobody is going to save you, you’ve got to save yourself. You’ve got to go out and fight for it, nobody knows what you want except you and nobody will be as sorry as you if you don’t get it, so don’t give up. Love yourself fearlessly, fight for yourself, to be yourself and to build yourself.
