We marked National Exercise Day with a chair based session that brought plenty of energy into our home 💜

Our lovely residents got involved using different props, moving along to some uplifting music as we gently worked through each exercise together. There were lots of smiles and a few giggles along the way, with everyone joining in at their own pace and encouraging one another.

It felt less like a workout and more like a shared moment, with conversation, laughter and movement all mixed together. A lovely way to keep active and spend time together 😊

We enjoyed a lovely trip out to The Well TKC for a cup of coffee and a good chat ☕😊

Our lovely residents spent time sharing memories, meeting new people and enjoying those easy conversations that just seem to flow. There was plenty of laughter, and it was so nice to see everyone feeling relaxed and at home in such a welcoming space 🥰

Getting out in the fresh air and a change of surroundings made it even more special. It’s safe to say it was a wonderful outing, and everyone came back with smiles and stories to tell 💜

We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀

We started the day with a lovely sherry morning, where residents gathered together to enjoy a gentle, relaxing start to the celebrations and share smiles with friends. From the moment the sun filled the sky without a single cloud, there was a wonderful sense of happiness throughout the home. Residents made their way into the garden, soaking up the warmth and enjoying a change of scenery that lifted everyone’s spirits 🌿

On Wednesday, a simple afternoon in the garden turned into something truly special, filled with fresh air, gentle moments, and quiet joy 🌿🐦

As the day unfolded, residents spent time outdoors carefully cleaning and filling the bird feeders, preparing them for our little feathered visitors. There was a lovely sense of purpose in the air, as everyone worked together, chatting and smiling while hoping to welcome plenty of birds into our garden

For one of our residents in particular, who has a deep love for the outdoors, this was a moment to truly cherish. Sitting peacefully and watching the birds come and go brought a sense of calm and happiness that words can hardly capture 🕊️✨

At Amy Woodgate House , Mothering Sunday was celebrated with warmth, joy, and a real sense of togetherness, creating a day full of treasured moments for everyone🌸

From the very start, the home was filled with laughter and happy chatter, as residents came together to enjoy a truly special occasion. A delicious roast dinner was served 🍽️, bringing comfort and smiles, followed by a glass of wine 🍷 to toast the incredible mothers we are so proud to celebrate. Our talented chef prepared an array of beautiful cakes 🍰, which were enjoyed by all and added a sweet touch to an already perfect day

As the day unfolded, there were smiles all around, with fun activities, wonderful company, and plenty of shared laughter creating an atmosphere that felt both uplifting and homely. Conversations flowed, memories were shared, and new moments were made together

Celebrating International Women’s Day in Style 💜👑

We celebrated International Women’s Day in style at our care home by dressing up like queens and enjoying a wonderful afternoon filled with fun, laughter and togetherness. It was a joyful occasion where everyone came together to honour the amazing women who are such an important part of our community 💜✨

The ladies looked absolutely fabulous wearing their crowns and special outfits, truly embracing the spirit of the day. There were plenty of smiles and laughter as residents admired each other’s royal looks and enjoyed the playful atmosphere throughout the afternoon👑💐

It was a lovely time spent sharing stories, conversation and special moments together. Days like this are a beautiful reminder of how inspiring, strong and wonderful the women in our home are and how important it is to celebrate them and the lives they have lived 💜🌸
