๐ŸชทGestalt Taster Event -Monday 15th December 2025. (In-Person)
2 pm - 5 pm. The Gestalt Centre London
This is a half-day workshop (3 hours) offered regularly as part of our programme of theoretical and experiential introductions for individuals seeking to learn more about Gestalt practice.

This may be of interest to you if youโ€™re new to Gestalt - especially if you're considering training as a Gestalt therapist in 2026, adding to your skill set as a therapist in another modality, or as a coach, manager, practitioner or consultant working in organisations, education or health and social care. Also, as an opportunity for personal development.

It is particularly relevant if you are considering attending the Gestalt Centre accredited Counselling or Psychotherapy training programmes, starting with the Certificate in Humanistic Counselling (counselling) or the Diploma in Professional Development (psychotherapy). Additionally, it's a great starting point if you're interested in attending one of our weekend or 10-week Personal Growth and Development Groups, or if you're a professional working in organisations and would like to gain a sense of Gestalt as a relational approach.

The workshop combines experiential learning, exploration and information to support your decision regarding Gestalt training and development as a pathway for you.

Monday 15th December 2025.
2 pm - 5 pm

Our Story

The Gestalt Centre story started in 1980, with a small group of therapists who had experienced the transformative power of the holistic and humanistic gestalt approach in helping people gain quality of life and wellbeing that comes from โ€˜here and nowโ€™ awareness, creativity and resourcefulness, diversity and community, with genuine relationships and connections with ourselves, people and our environment. These were and still are, key organisational principles and our wish to enable the psychological well-being of individuals, groups and organisations through Gestalt education, training and practice, became our purpose.

The Gestalt Centre has been fast growing, into a dynamic organisation that runs and hosts a range of counselling, psychotherapy, personal and professional development courses and a range of therapeutic practices that enhance mental and psychological wellbeing.

We are proud to report nearly 40 years of training excellence with UKCP/BACP accredited courses, enabling the training and growth of outstanding counselling and psychotherapy practitioners and a vibrant community of practice that now runs from our centre and beyond.

In a true Gestalt fashion, in 2018, we intentionally paused and reflected on our journey so far and how we wish to shape our future as an organisation. We acknowledged and considered where we are at as an organisation and the world around us and spoke to colleagues, clients, members and friends about our wishes and hopes for the future. These conversations led to the development of our organisation strategy for the future.
