Joe Appiah, British Masters Athlete, is using his platform to highlight an important message this : Black men face a higher risk of prostate cancer, but early testing can make all the difference.

If you're a Black man over 45 — or if you have a family history — you're more likely to develop prostate cancer. Don’t wait for symptoms. Speak to your GP about a PSA blood test. When caught early, prostate cancer is highly treatable.

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. But for Black men, the risk is 1 in 4 – that’s double. This is why it’s so important to raise awareness, especially this . Prostate cancer often has no early symptoms, and some men won’t realise they’re at risk until it’s too late.

If you’re a Black man over 45 – or any man over 50 – speak to your GP about a PSA blood test. Early diagnosis is the difference between having treatment options and missing the chance for a cure. Act early. It could save your life.
