The herd immunity we were hoping for isn’t going to happen. Studies show the double-jabbed population can pass on the Delta variant – so even fully vaccinated staff can trigger workplace infections. There’s never been a more important time to test.

Two landmark studies show that double-jabbed people infected with the Delta variant can spread the virus as easily as unvaccinated individuals...

Even with tweaks to the NHS tracing app, COVID-related staff absence will continue to cost businesses. Our recent survey of 500 SME leaders revealed the majority of companies are changing policies to cover employee salaries during self-isolation.

It’s a positive step for staff, but what about a solution that delivers benefits on both sides? Regular employee testing creates a safe work environment for colleagues and prevents pockets of infection that lead to sick leave, isolation requirements and productivity losses.

How has COVID-19 influenced your company policies? And is workforce testing part of your prevention plan?

We recently surveyed 1,000 employees about workplace COVID controls – and whether their company is doing enough to protect them. The message was clear: 80% want their employer to provide regular testing.

As self-isolation rules relax and more staff return to the workplace, transmission risks are ramping up, even among vaccinated staff. Twice-weekly screening creates a secure, focused working environment and puts businesses a step ahead of infection rates. It also shows you’ll go the extra mile to keep workers safe.

What are your thoughts on employee testing? Let us know in the comments below.

We recently asked 1,000 employees about workplace COVID safety measures – and how their company’s approach measures up. Fifty six per cent felt that efficient screening would make them feel more cared for and protected at work. More than half said in-house testing would improve their mental health.

Employee screening does more than stop the spread of the virus. It boosts staff retention, trust, wellbeing, morale and productivity.

As offices fill and vaccinated travellers return to work without quarantine requirements, testing will not only single out transmission risks. It will show which businesses prioritise staff peace of mind.

Has your business adopted employee screening yet? Do you have plans to? Let us know in the comments below.

When we asked 1,000 employees about the easing of isolation requirements, one message came through loud and clear. Staff are worried about catching COVID in the workplace.

As government restrictions fall away, employers can benefit from boosting in-house safety measures and introducing regular staff screening for the virus. You’ll provide peace of mind for the 81% coming to work with safety concerns – and show a clear commitment to employee health, happiness and wellbeing. That’s positive news for attraction, retention and productivity.

What would it take for you to introduce testing in your business? And what’s holding you back? We’d love to hear your views in the comment section.

This week, we’re revealing survey insights from 500 SME business leaders and 1,000 employees. Now that it’s no longer necessary to isolate if a contact tests positive for COVID-19, how will companies keep their people safe?

Eighty-one per cent of bosses think a solid in-house testing programme is money well spent. On top of keeping transmission risks in check, regular screening boosts employee confidence and fuels a productive working environment. In fact, it’s becoming a signal of standout employers.

What’s your COVID prevention strategy now that isolation requirements are gone? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

From today, fully vaccinated people will no longer need to self-isolate if a contact tests positive for COVID-19. It’s good news for business continuity – but only if employers find other means to keep the virus at bay.

In partnership with 3Gem, we surveyed 500 business leaders and 1,000 employees to find out what they really think about anti-COVID measures. All this week, we’ll share the research results – and real-world insights from SMEs and their workers.

Without isolation to prevent transmission, will companies step up testing to protect their teams?
