This Week we has the actress Sarah Huntly come to Lyle House to read and discuss some of her most loved pomes.
it was a fantastic afternoon the residents enjoyed hearing about Sarah's work and spoke about there own connections to showbiz.
the residents asked if Sarah would come back next month and read poems that they love.

A big thank you to our lovely Hairdresser Sharon for braving the heat each week this summer and coming in to give the residents their weekly hair refreshes! She works with a smile on her face and the residents are always eager to see her for a chat! We appreciate you so much! 🤩✂️☕🪮

As part of our theme of "looking at the Arts", we had a Frida Kahlo day! Our Activity room was transformed in to a Mexican Fiesta with mocktail's and a Mexican lunch. The residents painted their feelings and portraits of Frida.

Yesterday, it was with great sadness and pride we said goodbye to our amazing Senior Care Assistant Manju. Manju has been at Lyle House for 3.5 years and has now gained her Nursing pin. She is going to be a Nurse at a Hospital in a British coastal town. Manju was a dedicated, hard working, and passionate part of the team at Lyle house and she will be very much missed by her colleagues, the families but most of all by our residents.

Good luck in the next part of your journey Manju, you will be a fantastic nurse! 👩‍⚕️💊🩺🩹❤️

As part of our month focusing on the arts the wonderful students from Ibstock place school performed some beautiful music for us with songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Disney and other classical and musical theatre songs.
our residents really enjoyed it and we are hoping they will return very soon.
