PACT works with one adult and child, this is usually a parent or carer, but can be another adult who spends time with the child every day. The programme consists of 12 sessions over 6 months (fortnightly). Your child doesn't need to have an autism diagnosis to access the programme (I know the waiting times to access an assessment can be very long), if your child has social communication needs it i

s probably suitable for them. PACT is a gentle, relationship-based intervention and is not a behavioural therapy. The PACT programme empowers parents to nurture their child’s development through daily play sessions matched to their individual level of social communication. Evidence has shown the benefits to children whose families completed the PACT trial were still present 6 years later. For more information about PACT read this page:
