HSF Pilates

HSF Pilates Pilates classes, small group sessions and 1:1 at home and in the community in the Greenwich area of London.

Hannah qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 and went on to work in the community setting with a broad range of clients. Since having 3 children (and realising the toll that can take on the body!) she has developed a passion for Pilates as a way to improve posture, stability and strength and restore normal movement naturally. As well as a BSc hons degree in physiotherapy, Hannah has trained with

the Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute (APPI) and favours a rehabilitative approach to Pilates. Her classes are suitable for people of all ages and abilities and she is always happy to discuss any concerns you may have prior to starting a Pilates programme. Hannah aims to deliver enjoyable and educational sessions and enjoys teaching in both the class and 1:1 setting.

“Doesn’t distance running damage your knees?”. I’m often asked that. “You’ll wear yourself out and need a knee replacement by 50”. That’s been said too!
Here’s some clinical evidence thé opposite is in fact true.
Of course we need to strengthen our bodies in other ways alongside running- Pilates and running is the perfect match!

Lots of helpful advice in this article. This week I will work with people in their 20’s right through to someone who is 86! Pilates is such an adaptable and safe form of exercise, whatever you’re starting point!
