🕵️‍♂️ Exploring Hair Loss: Two Common Causes.

🧬 Androgenetic Alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness)

This is the primary cause of hair loss in men, rooted in genetics and sensitivity to the hormone DHT. It leads to hair follicles shrinking, resulting in gradual hair thinning and loss. Recognisable patterns typically include receding temples, mid-scalp thinning, and crown loss.

💨 Telogen Effluvium

Hair shedding occurs due to bodily changes from stress, new medication, illness, or extreme diets. This shedding, known as telogen effluvium, often starts several weeks after the trigger. You'll experience significant shedding for a few weeks, and it usually begins to resolve after 2 months.

Many men often misinterpret stress as the main cause of hair loss, overlooking the true culprit: androgenic alopecia. As their hair thins, they persistently attribute it to stress, delaying action in the hope of natural recovery. Early recognition and treatment are key to effectively addressing hair loss and achieving optimal results.
