We love celebrating the incredible results coming out of our Upper Wimpole Street assessment centre 🌟

This week’s Team of the Week was led by our coach, ._townsend - huge congratulations to Izzy 🎉 for achieving these fantastic results with her athlete over the past 12 weeks:
• 🚴‍♂️ 52.63% increase in VO₂ peak (from 19.00 ml/kg/min to 29.00 ml/kg/min) – a huge boost to cardiovascular fitness
• 📉 23.53% reduction in Total Cholesterol Levels
• 📈 33.33% increase in High Density Lipoprotein Levels
• 💪 5.09% increase in Muscle Mass (from 51.10kg to 53.7kg)
• 🧠 100.00% reduction in hospital anxiety and depression score (from 1 to 0)

Adam joined CP+R in 2016 after being told he was at risk of cardiovascular disease and that his health was poorer than he thought. Adam believed he could turn his health around independently but struggled with consistency due to a busy work and family life.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Whilst Adam didn’t have any specific clinical conditions, we identified that his body mass, body fat and cholesterol were outside of normal ranges which posed a real health risk. Adam also wanted to feel fitter and stronger so he could continue to play with his children as they grew up.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Our key focus for Adam was consistency. He a good understanding of how to achieve health improvements but struggled to implement a plan that would last. To help Adam, we used his data that we tracked on adherence, performance and predicted success to help him see where he had come from and where he was going. This hugely motivated him towards his long term goals and allowed him to make consistent lifestyle changes.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Adam is still with CP+R 6 years after joining us and continues to thrive on a much healthier lifestyle. Adam consistently achieves four exercise sessions a week and has transformed his diet to minimise processed food, and include healthier substitutes. Adam’s goals have now changed to be more performance based so we now use his data to inform performance metrics such as speed, distance and power.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Since joining Adam has lost over 10 kg of body mass, 11 kg of fat mass and reduced his cholesterol to within a normal range. It’s a honour to continue helping him live longer, better.

We are often quoted as saying, "if you're not assessing, you're guessing" because we believe you can't measure progress, without measuring it! Even more importantly, our assessments allow us to review the health of each client in detail and prescribe their health plan in a truly bespoke manner.
