Do you feel pain on the outer side of your elbow when lifting objects, gripping, or twisting your forearm?
You may be experiencing tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis).
🔎 What is Tennis Elbow?
Tennis elbow is an overuse injury caused by repetitive strain of the forearm extensor tendons where they attach to the lateral epicondyle of the humerus.
Despite the name, it affects not only athletes but also office workers, manual laborers, and anyone performing repetitive hand movements.
⚠️Common Symptoms:
➡Pain on the outer side of the elbow
➡Pain when gripping or shaking hands
➡Weak grip strength
➡Discomfort when lifting objects (even a cup of coffee)
➡Increased pain with wrist extension
💡 In our orthopaedic room, tennis elbow is one of the most frequent diagnoses among patients with upper limb overuse pain.
Early treatment helps prevent chronic tendon degeneration. Don’t ignore persistent elbow pain.
