🌬️ In Ayurveda, Vata is often called the “king of the doshas” because it governs all movement in the body — from the heartbeat to the communication between cells.
When Vata gets disturbed, it can quickly throw the other two doshas, Pitta and Kapha, off balance as well.

Drawn to creative activities, dance, and travel
If you can relate to several of the qualities above, Vata may be a dominant Dosha for you.

🌬️ Vata-dominant individuals tend to have the following qualities:

Slimmer build, lightweight, either very tall or short

Quick-moving mind and actions

Tendency to do many things

Thinner skin and hair, prone to dryness

Variable appetite, the tendency towards constipation

Light sleep, possibly interrupted, dreams full of movement

Lower stamina with bursts of activity

Is the season shifting in your country?

In England the temperature is cooler and the wind is kicking in. The element of Air and Ether are allowing the season to move, gradually in Autumn - What we call Vata season in Ayurveda.

What does it mean?
Extra care to the digestive system. It is during the season transition that the body/ major organs will need our attention.

As the season shift so it does our practice, how?
We will still love the core, bring in breath work to take care of the Vata seasonal imbalance as anxiety, irregular sleeping patterns and cold element in the body.

There's an element of slowing down and dropping into the body.

Our practice is in tune with the moon phases, this two weeks cycle will accompany us with on Sep 7th with a total lunar eclipse in the sign of Pisces.

Eclipses are a time of great change, how are you going to use this opportunity?

Summer is the season where we are encouraged to be fully open to life Agni, the digestive fire -besides supporting the digestion- is connected to courage, moving forward and emotional/ karmic purification. In this course we regenerate, activate and heal the entire digestive system.

The attention is on the major organs, support of the abdominal muscular system to unable a toning of the digestive organs, extending to the emotional response connected to the Fire element. In Ayurveda called Pitta.

When in excess, Pitta can make us feel frustrated and short tempered, in the contrary a low digestive fire can bring a sense of low mood similar to feeling depressed and a constant lack of energy/ creativity and motivation.

A healthy Pitta has a good, not excessive appetite. A balanced energy throughout the day to support the daily activities and a sharp/clear, centred mind.
