After watching David Beckham discuss his OCD & his need to clean his candles after each use as well as his need to always have straight chairs I wanted to post about OCD.
As a former OCD sufferer myself I know how debilitating & time consuming this issue can be to have
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterised by the presence of obsessions & compulsions that disrupt daily life. It is considered an anxiety disorder because the obsessions & compulsions generate intense anxiety and distress.
Here's an overview of the key features of OCD:
Obsessions are intrusive, unwanted & distressing thoughts, images, or urges that repeatedly enter an individual's mind. These obsessions are difficult to control & often cause anxiety or discomfort.
Common obsessional themes include fears of contamination, harming others, or unwanted sexual thoughts.
Compulsions are repetitive behaviours or mental acts that individuals feel compelled to perform in response to their obsessions. Compulsions are often rigid and are aimed at reducing the distress caused by the obsessions. Common compulsions include excessive handwashing, counting, or praying.
The Vicious Cycle: OCD follows a cycle where obsessions lead to anxiety & compulsions are performed to alleviate that anxiety. However, the relief is temporary & the compulsions reinforce the obsession, creating a vicious cycle.
Interference in Daily Life: OCD can significantly interfere with an individual's daily functioning. It can affect their ability to work, maintain relationships & enjoy life. People with OCD often spend a significant amount of time performing their rituals, which can be time-consuming & exhausting.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) offers a transformative path to regain control & find peace.
✨ RTT can help you:
1️⃣ Uncover the root causes of OCD.
2️⃣ Rewrite negative thought patterns.
3️⃣ Replace compulsive behaviors with healthier choices.
4️⃣ Foster a sense of calm and balance.
🌈 Your journey to freedom from OCD begins with understanding & compassion. Let's break the stigma, spread awareness, & embrace the healing potential of RTT.

Healing is a journey of transformation, often illuminated by the wisdom within the profound words of Rumi;
‘The wound is where the light enters you’. In times of adversity and pain, these wounds become portals for personal growth and understanding. Just as light streams through a crack, healing radiates through our vulnerabilities, guiding us towards strength, empathy, and renewed purpose. It's a reminder that from our deepest hurts emerges the brilliance of resilience, shaping us into beings who can shine brightly despite the scars.
Rapid Transformational Therapy has the ability to help you overcome the wounds and heal, it gives you the opportunity to understand that the past is just in your head and that it’s the future that’s in your hands. You have the power to heal, shape your future and create a life filled with hope, love and enjoyment. There is a future beyond the pain, one where happiness and healing co-exist.

I remember being told this after my daughter died aged 5 days old.
I was dumbfounded, not only had we lost our child but here I was being told that the chances are my marriage would probably not survive too.
Whilst undoubtedly Men and Wonen grieve very differently, the loss of a baby doesn’t need to end a marriage.
I’m testament to that and whilst we’ve had our moments we have weathered the storm and beaten the statistics.
RTT was a massive turning point for me in my grief after losing Ella.
It allowed me to re-frame my thoughts and beliefs and also massively changed my perspective on how my husband felt about losing his daughter.
If you are going through the hell of BabyLoss and this resonates with you do reach out for a free no obligation discovery call where I can talk you through the benefits of this amazing therapy.

What is your teenager’s anxiety trying to tell you?
The function of a symptom is to tell us that something is wrong. When we have a fever it indicates a sign of infection or if we have a swelling it usually indicates inflammation.
So what is the anxiety your teen is suffering from trying to tell you?
With it being that time of year, exam stress, emotional stress, the long holidays of being at home or away from friends…
My job as an RTT therapist is to get to the root cause of your teenager’s anxiety and not just simply to manage their symptoms the way other therapies do.
When your teenager is anxious, depressed or simply just feeling a bit low it can show up in so many different ways such as:
*Anger
*Subdued behaviour
*Skin problems
*Migraines
*Self sabotage
*Self-harm
*Procrastination
*Avoidance of social contact
The list is endless….
Through my work I have observed that a teenager’s anxiety is often trying to tell you that their needs were NOT met when they were younger.
They are still carrying in their bodies unprocessed Trauma (either big T or small T trauma)
So what can you do about it?
An RTT session gets straight to the root cause of the unprocessed trauma they are storing in their subconscious mind and through a re-frame during hypnosis, RTT has the amazing ability to transform their mindset in just one or two sessions leaving them free of the anxiety permanently.

Our subconscious mind is solely focused on protecting us &•keeping us safe.
Sometimes however it can all be a little too much & this leads to feelings that mean we procrastinate & self-sabotage our future happiness, success & health & we fall into patterns that doubt our self-worth.
But it's important to remember that we only get one life & life is for living & we all want & deserve happiness.
The reason we often doubt ourselves is because of FEAR.
When we can understand the root cause of why we're fearful, we have the power to change. Very often fear is deeply rooted in past experiences we've had or because of limiting beliefs.
When we use the power of our subconscious mind & identity the source we get a better understanding of who we are & why we feel, act & react the way we do & this brings with it the ability to change our lives for the better!
RTT is proven to get to the root cause of why we procrastinate, feel fear & self sabotage ourselves & it allows us to free ourselves from these negative feelings that hold us back from living the life that we deserve.

Much scientific research has been done now into the connection between our emotions and how they affect the physical body.
When we are stressed, overwhelmed or experience guilt, shame or trauma our nervous systems go into survival mode and stress hormones such as cortisol are released into our bodies. If our emotions become suppressed and our nervous systems are stuck in survival mode these stress hormones are being released constantly and they eventually start to cause physical symptoms such as pain and disease.
With this in mind it makes sense to treat the emotions as well as the physical symptoms.
Rapid Transformational Therapy has the amazing ability to treat the root cause of why we experience these negative emotions and allows clients to heal after a couple of sessions with permanent change. A trigger is an unhealed emotional wound.
The level of emotions you experience gives you insight in to how long the trigger has gone suppressed.
Identifying your emotional triggers is vital because without bringing to consciousness what provokes extreme responses from you, you'll be a puppet constantly manipulated by your emotions.
We think other people are triggering us, but they're simply just holding mirrors up to our triggers. For every emotional reaction, there is a root underlying cause.
When you can understand why you react emotionally in different situations, you open yourself to have a choice in how you react.
When triggered, say to yourself "I am grateful for this emotion and what it can teach me." Linking any thought with emotion helps to actually change you. It's what manifestation is all about. Thoughts and feeling together are very powerful.
Remember, avoiding your triggers isn't healing. Healing happens when you're triggered and able to move through the pain, pattern and story and walk your way to a different ending.

Are you ready to break free from what's holding you back and become the best version of yourself?
*Are you stuck in an unhappy relationship or job?
*Do you want to quit smoking or any other addiction but keep going back?
*Have you tried endless diets but can't seem to see an improvement?
Letting go are the two of the most powerful words in the English language.
However, before you can let go it is vital to fully understand what it is that's keeping you stuck.
What the root cause of your blocks, your self-limiting and self-sabotaging behaviours actually
iS.
We are all born with a belief that we are good enough but when our needs are not met, growing up, we automatically develop coping mechanisms, beliefs and behaviours as a response to our various environments.
These are all rooted in your subconscious mind where our emotions are stored.
One significant rule of the mind is that:
Emotions always overrule Logic.
This is why people struggle to break habits, and patterns of behaviour when they try to think their way out of a situation using their conscious mind, their logic.
The good news is we can unlearn these beliefs, habits and behaviours, retrain our minds and reinvent ourselves.
Once we do this we can see how significant this quote by CS Lewis really is, because we realise that there are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.
RTT has the power to change our lives for the better in just a few sessions.

Before I became a mother, I never gave this common phrase "baby brain" a thought. Now as a birth trauma survivor & a therapist specialising in trauma, I can see a huge resemblance between
"mummy brain" & "trauma brain.
Those symptoms of:
*scattered moments
*struggling to remember things
*memory gaps
*brain fog
*communication struggles
*inability to deal with stress
Could all be indicators that something else is happening. During pregnancy & birth, several areas of the brain are impacted including the amygdala, hypothalamus, hippocampus & the nucleus accumbens & after we have experienced birth trauma the prefrontal cortex, amygdala & the hippocampus take a big hit.
Those areas impact the above symptoms and indicators. And so do other forms of postpartum mental health.
When we experience these symptoms we laugh at ourselves & others in those moments & put it down to "mummy brain.
If you're a birth trauma survivor or think you may be struggling with other postpartum mental health concerns and often have "mummy brain" it's okay to reach out for support, share what's going on & seek help to help you sort through what's "mummv brain" & what's a "trauma brain”.

Rapid Transformational Therapy can help with this unresolved trauma & "mummy brain" symptoms that may be stored in your subconscious mind without you even knowing.
If this resonates with you book a free (no obligation) discovery call with me.
