I’ve come to realize…
I do want someone I hear from every day.
A text, a call, just to say,
"You were on my mind, and I needed to hear your voice."

Someone bold enough to ask,
"What if we disappeared for the weekend?"
Or gently whisper,
"If I made you coffee… would you stay?"

I want a woman whose presence always feels new.
Someone I can talk to without filters,
Who listens deeply and lets me do the same.
Strong enough to be cared for, and to care back.

I want to be her calm in the storm,
Her teammate, her home.
No pretending. No ticking clocks. Just us.

Even when we’re apart, may we stay connected,
In the ways that matter most.

Because truth is…
I want a woman who’s not afraid to dive deep.
Even if we risk sinking,
I’d rather sink together than float alone.

The last few months have been the most testing of my life so far. Despite this I am so proud to stand alongside my NHS colleagues here in the Emergency Department. We have supported each other throughout the tough times of this crisis. Thank you to everyone who has shown so much love to the NHS, your kindness will not be forgotten 💙

I think one of the hardest things, at least for me, is to allow someone to have a bad opinion of me. I want to defend myself. I want to explain why they’re wrong. I want to convince them that I’m a good person and I’m worth liking.
