My mum is 91, takes no meds, lives on her own, has two jobs and largely lives on crisps, ice cream and wine with odd little leftover of indiscernible age that is lurking in the back of her fridge.

And she absolutely swears by her vitamins - every day she takes her multi, omega three and probiotic. For her I chose the brand and she really does take them every single day.

And this is the song she wants played at her funeral, at this rate she may be the last person standing!

A night out with my gorgeous girl. We went to a fabulous on wellness for midlife and beyond that would be great for everyone to be honest.

With who was very funny and honest about the menopause and has written an excellent cookery book called Menolicious.

And Professor Devi Sridhar whose book How not to Die (too soon) is fascinating and everyone should read.

And Joel Snape, brilliant fitness guru and journalist .snape

And what were the top tips?
Exercise- strength, movement & flexibility, and how to make small changes that really count.

Diet - plants, protein and fibre. And stop eating before you are full.

Sleep. An excellent tip from Devi Sridhar - if you wake up in the night and start worrying about everything (that’s me!) categorise your worries into timing slots - they can be delayed, so worry about this on Tuesday or this in five years, or this tomorrow. You don’t need to worry right NOW! I loved that tip as I am a big catastrophiser at 4am!

This ‘exhibition’ of speakers is going to be excellent! It will explore with experts in their fields, how complementary medicine can really support people who want to have a child when they are older, whether trying naturally or with assistance.

Dr Jude is an A&E doctor and she has assembled an incredible group of people from around the world, including our own brilliant Ed Coates, the Medical Director of the Evewell Clinic, Barbara Scott, who is the founder of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists and one of the wisest loveliest people I know. And of course the King of Balls himself, Professor Jonathan Ramsay. And me talking about how the right nutrition can help to protect your eggs and s***m from damage.

If you have a fever then you do not need to ‘tough it out’ (as if Trump or any of those useless idiots he surrounds himself would either). You can take paracetamol because having a temperature is more risky and dangerous for your pregnancy. Fact.

At the start of National Fertility Week this is such a true statement!
Thank you

When I was at school s*x education was learning how frogs mated, and my kids were showed how to put a condom on a banana! I have no idea what it’s like now!

My focus would be to educate boys about how a rubbish diet, smoking w**d and using steroids at the gym will wreck their fertility.

And how s*xually transmitted diseases as a result of not wearing condoms affects their girlfriend’s fertility. And probably may permanently affect theirs too.

And how too much p**n watching will affect their ability to even have s*x, quite important!

And how even male fertility has a use-by date, s***m also ages and trying to put off having a baby til middle age (although when you’re 15 that probably means about 30!) may mean their fertility as well as their partners is affected.

This also applies to older men too and including practical advice in workplace health education may be a good idea. It’s not just about the woman!

This is my new regime - after a month no one will recognize me!

I want to look after my skin, bones, hair, energy levels, immune system and not to mention, brain function!

I already love and anyway . And I’m trying out , and as I love the look of all of them for my health.

~ Bare Biology Fundamental hydrolysed peptides for maximum absorption and I add it to breakfast. I swear by this for my nails and skin. It has no taste or gritty texture, no horrible sweeteners, it’s the best I’ve ever used.

~Bare Biology Vitamin D3 And K2 - the perfect combination for my immune system and bones.

~Inessa Advanced Biotic Complex - the best general probiotic for my gut and health on the market.

~Mother Made AM and PM powders. I think mushroom therapy is fascinating - I shall do a proper course in this I think. They seem to do anything and everything - hormones, immune, stimulating, relaxing and this is very easy to take.

~Artah - this a new brand for me that I’m trying out - this NAD complex may slow cell damage and increase energy and it also contains co-factors that may increase nicotinamide absorption.

~Magnesium - a major co-factor for hormone metabolism, calming and helps my sleep massively.

~Omega three - brain, skin, hair, joints.

~Dr. Vegan OsteoFriend. I really need this for my bones and this is great because it is just one teaspoon in water a day, no additives or sweeteners so perfect for anyone who has osteopaenia or osteoporosis.

Sadly the very superficial side of me loves good branding too!
Let’s hope I remember to take them!

Note: I am not an influencer so am not paid for these- I just like letting you know what I find.

I so wish that this had been a thing when I was trying - and failing- to conceive. I was so sad, worried and yes, angry, envious of my friends and disappointed in my body. It was a very negative mindset!

And so having the totally wonderful Alice Rose on my side would have made a massive difference to me.

Alice has also coached me through a few blips and she is just so kind, warm and empathetic. This is why I recommend all my clients to do her courses as I think they help you to survive.

It’s a six-week course beginning on Monday. Link in my bio.

Every couple of years I put this story up to commemorate Baby Loss Awareness Week, to remember my little brother who never had the chance for life and to be thankful for the little sister that came and helped mum to heal.

Due to sheer medical negligence mum’s baby boy died when she was 38 weeks pregnant and she gave birth at 40 weeks. The baby was taken away, who knows what happened to him and mum came home and stayed in her room for three months. No funeral, no footprints or photos and no counselling. I was six and my sister was 4, dad never told us what happened or where the baby was, he went to work and we just heard mum howling with pain and grief in her room, someone came and looked after us and the whole family was basically wrecked. Mum was just 28 and Dad was 30 and they were just lost.

They tried to adopt - mum could not bear to be pregnant again and there was no contraception in Ireland so I think that was the beginning of the end anyway for their marriage. But we were not allowed as we were not catholic. In rural Ireland religion ruled.

So they decided (well mum did) to adopt two babies from Vietnam which was in the middle of a war! And believe it or not, two years later a little girl and a boy were booked on a flight to England to be met by mum and brought back to Ireland. And the little boy suddenly died. We never knew why, the telegram came and that was that. Another shock for mum. But the little girl aged one came and this photo is the moment the air stewardess handed her to mum. You can see mum’s expression.

She is the balm that helped mum to heal and still is, all those years later. And mum never speaks about that time but we all know that once you have lost a baby you are never the same, never fully healed and the scar is always there. So I want to say to all those mothers who have experienced losing your baby, I salute you all.
