🌬️ Did you know? According to OHID (the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities), respiratory diseases pose a significant burden in the UK, affecting 1 in 5 people and ranking as the third leading cause of death in England. The annual economic burden of asthma and COPD on the NHS alone is estimated at £4.9 billion, with lung conditions costing the NHS a staggering £11 billion annually, including lung cancer expenses.

Now, picture a world where these diseases are prevented or managed more effectively, making life easier for those affected. While certain risk factors like pollution and housing conditions are hard to control, others such as smoking, low physical activity, and excess weight can be avoided. Salt therapy can help with all of these.

This type of therapy emerges as a promising solution, offering potential benefits in managing these factors and promoting respiratory wellness.

🌿 Understanding Salt Therapy vs. Salt Intake 🌿

Ever wondered about the difference between inhaling salt particles during a salt therapy session and salt intake in our diets? Let's break it down:

✨ Salt Therapy/Halotherapy:
Inhalation of microscopic salt particles in a controlled environment.
Benefits for respiratory conditions like asthma and allergies.
Uses pharmaceutical-grade salt for therapeutic effects, not for dietary purposes.

🍽️ Salt Intake:
Consumption of salt through food and beverages.
Excessive intake linked to health risks like high blood pressure and heart disease.
Health guidelines recommend reducing salt intake for overall wellness.

Remember, salt therapy targets respiratory health, while dietary salt intake affects overall health. If you have questions about your health or treatment options, consult with healthcare professionals.

🌿 Hey, Salty Lovers! Let's dive in Into the Difference between an Active vs. Passive Salt Rooms 🌿

Active Salt Room:
✨ Here's the brief: In an active salt room like ours, we use state-of-the-art technology to disperse finely-ground salt particles into the air.
✨ The result? You get to breathe in those beneficial minerals, promoting clearer airways and a sense of relaxation.
✨ Plus, the gentle motion of the salt particles and the calm atmosphfere helps to invigorate your mood, making your experience even more impactful.

Passive Salt Room:
🌾 On the other hand, passive salt rooms simply rely on natural salt formations within the room. While they can offer some benefits, they may not provide the same level of targeted therapy as an active salt room.

At Salt Bliss Halotherapy, we're proud to offer you the best of the best: an active salt room experience designed to elevate your well-being and leave you feeling refreshed from the inside out.
Come on in and experience the difference for yourself! Your journey to improved health and wellbeing starts here.

🤷‍♀️ Wondering What to Wear in the Salt Room? 🫁

Addressing one of the most common questions we receive: What should I wear in the salt room? The answer depends on the specific issue you aim to address—whether it's respiratory concerns or a skin condition.

There is no special gear required for the treatment, except no shoes are allowed inside the Salt Room. In general, opt for casual, comfortable clothing. Lighter-colored attire is advisable as the fine particles of salt will settle and come off easier from lighter colors.

If you're addressing a skin issue through halotherapy, wearing something like a t-shirt and shorts allows for optimal exposure of the affected areas. Our room temperature is typically maintained around 21-22 degrees Celsius for your comfort.

Feel free to dress comfortably and enjoy your session! Booking your first one is only half the price and you can do it on our page here: https://saltbliss.co.uk/

🌿 Exploring Halotherapy: Common Reactions During Sessions 🌿

Most people experience no negative symptoms during a halotherapy session. However, here are some of the most common symptoms people usually experience during a salt therapy session:

1) Runny nose or increased mucus: This is often a sign that the therapy is working by thinning and mobilising mucus for expulsion.
2) Coughing: Similar to the runny nose, coughing can help clear out airways and eliminate mucus and irritants.
3) Relaxation and improved mood: The calming atmosphere and salt's properties can promote relaxation and reduce stress.
4) Improved breathing: Some people report easier breathing after a session, especially those with mild congestion.

Remember - these are all potential reactions, not guaranteed side effects. The severity and likelihood vary depending on individual health and sensitivity.

Which of these symptoms are you experiencing? Personally, I often have a runny nose during my sessions, which is why tissues are a must-have for me. If you haven't tried it before, why not start now? Book your first session at half the price on our page: https://saltbliss.co.uk/

Understanding salt therapy sessions when it comes to 'How Long'?

Ever wondered about the length of a salt therapy session? Here's what you need to know:
The amount of salt aerosol inhalation depends on two key factors:

1) The concentration of salt in the air.
2) The duration of salt aerosol inhalation.

The length of a salt therapy session is determined by the size and cubic volume of the air space in the environment. Sessions can vary from 45 minutes in a salt therapy room to as short as 10 minutes in smaller, portable salt therapy units.

Did you know? Your exposed skin can also absorb micro-sized salt particles, even if you're not inhaling them directly.

Discover the benefits of salt therapy with a 50min session in our Salt Bliss room. Book yours here at half price for your first visit: https://saltbliss.co.uk/
