You are a powerful and talented being so train like it. No matter where your starting from, if you train with the simple intention of doing your best, then you have won.

After having a few different conversations with clients, I wanted to share this with everyone because I think it’s important for everyone to know that the world will not end if you set some boundaries for yourself!

If you struggle with creating time for yourself to focus on your fitness or generall wellbeing then this is for you to watch!

No one will respect your boundaries if you don’t. You have the time and the capacity to make urself a priority!

This morning I said I was going to do a full out . Did I do that?? HA No. I used to get upset with myself when I said I was going to a certain workout than bailed. But I have learned that it's ok to listen to your body. I still wanted to do something, so I put this together for a short, sweet but challenging workout out focused on mobility, balance and posture.
Perform 2-3 rounds of 6-8 reps of each exercise

I love helping people feel strong and good in their body! Cathrine came to me never having done any type of resistance training. She stuck to yoga, but still felt weak and pushed through with back pain.
She build up her stamina and strength and has come such a long way and is now Bench pressing 10kg, Deadlifitng 30Kg and can squat without knee pain!
This just goes to show that where you are now doesn't have to be where you end up! Try something new, don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. Most importantly, believe that change is possible

Exercise can be very one dementional, boring and even harmful if your only reason to do it is to lose weight.

When you can take your and turn it into something for performance, you now have something that can benefit not just your performance doing physical tasks, but your mental resilience, your self understanding, your self talk and your ability to lead and help others.

Here are 3 ways you can exercise more fun, functional and performance based

1) - the bird dog exercise strengthens your core and also improves your coordination- a skill that’s offer forgotten about as we get older. Working on your coordination improves brain function, focus and forces us to stay in the present moment.

2) mobility flows- our body holds onto and can manifest itself in tightness, knots, and numbness in arms and legs. Mobility flows allows for useless energy to be released

3) Balancing- improve lower body , foot strength, and brain function. Again, it’s a skill we offer lose as we get older because we practice it. Ironically, it’s the skill we need the most as we get older to have a good quality of life. Balancing forces us to stay present can help us mentally ground ourselves.

What is mindful movement?

Mindful movement simply put is listening. It's bringing your attention to the movement of your body while focusing on breathing. This will all you to experience the full benefits of the movement.

Movement and exercise is more than just physical activity when done mindfully. The breath provides support for the body brings focus to the mind. Mindful movement is about discovery and allowing physical activity to be more about weight loss, physique and calorie burning.

Mindful movement makes physical activity (walks, yoga, lifting weights, dance etc.) meaningful in ALL areas of life from work to family, mental wellness. It has so many benefits such as
-lowered levels of stress and anxiety
-improved sleep
-hormone rebalancing
-injury reduction and more
