What is Disc Degeneration?
Our spine is made up of small bones (vertebrae) cushioned by discs that act like shock absorbers. Over time, these discs can lose hydration and elasticity, a natural part of ageing known as disc degeneration.
When this happens, the discs become thinner, less flexible, and may lead to symptoms such as:
⚡ Back or neck pain
💤 Stiffness, especially in the morning
🦴 Pain that worsens with sitting or bending
While disc degeneration is common, it doesn’t always cause severe pain, and there are many ways to keep your spine healthy through exercise, posture correction, and medical treatments when needed.
💬 If you’re experiencing persistent back pain, it’s worth getting your spine checked by a specialist.
