🍆 Why I Don’t Perform Pe**le Filler Procedures
This is a topic that deserves transparency. Pe**le filler is a treatment I have deliberately decided not to include in my practice, based on safety, anatomy, and long-term patient wellbeing.
From a clinical standpoint, the risk profile is simply too high.
Here’s why caution is essential:
- The blood supply in this region is intricate, and accidental vascular obstruction can result in serious tissue injury
- Damage to blood vessels may cause bleeding or compromised circulation
- There is a real risk of infection and prolonged inflammatory reactions
- Results can be unpredictable, with uneven texture, nodules, or distortion
- Some complications don’t resolve on their own and may require medical or surgical correction later on
When an area has such dense and delicate vascular structures, even a minor error can have major consequences. In certain cases, those consequences can be permanent.
For me, patient safety always comes before offering a procedure - and this is one where the potential downsides outweigh the benefits.
