It can block the conversion of T4 (the storage form) into T3, the active hormone your metabolism actually needs. And without enough T3, everything slows down:
Your energy. Your digestion. Your ability to shift weight. Your mood.

The good news? There is a way to support both your insulin and thyroid, naturally, through the way you eat and live.

Here are 5 things that can help:

Prioritise protein at every meal — it supports metabolism and thyroid hormone production

Don’t skip healthy fats — your thyroid needs them to function properly

Keep 4–5 hours between meals — this reduces insulin spikes and improves hormone signalling

Cut added sugar where you can — high insulin and blood sugar dysregulate thyroid function
