Reset Health

Reset Health Our clinicians and mentors work with you to reinvent how ongoing conditions are managed. No more waiting on hold for an appointment. We upgrade healthcare.

No more working with a new doctor every visit. Roczen fixes healthcare's hassles. For everyone. Designed for life as you live it. We know it’s tough. There are tons of tasty foods down every supermarket aisle and it is difficult to exercise, to sleep well and to manage stress. With our busy lives and responsibilities it’s so hard to take the time to reassess what’s working for us and what’s making us unhealthy and unhappy. Roczen takes the time to make that assessment with you. Our sweet spot is putting you in control of your health. We provide an individual programme with the reassurance of all the tools and support you need every day. We are successful when you get healthier and happier - it’s as simple as that.

To our members, our mentors and those who follow us. As you can see our communications on our page have been silent. But for good reason. We have upgraded our platform to Roczen Health. That also means we have upgraded our app in both the App and Play store. Download Roczen and get started.

Our private members group remains, of course. But over the coming weeks this specific page will come to an end. All of our new updates and communications will be over at:

https://www.facebook.com/roczen.health

We look forward to having you there. Any questions, please reach out to us.

We upgrade healthcare. For everyone. Our clinicians and mentors work with you to manage ongoing chronic conditions. No more waiting on hold for an appointment. No more working with a new doctor every visit. Roczen fixes healthcare's hassles.

MOVEMENT ▫️Autumn is a magical time of year. As the mornings become colder, the leaves 🍁begin to turn and the sun ☀️ sits lower in the sky, it is a great time to capture some great photographs 📷 of the people, places and the meaningful things in our lives.

This month, we’d you to take a photo when you are next out and about and tag it with . It could be a building you haven’t noticed before, a tree 🌳 in the park, a sunrise (or a sunset) or anything that makes you stop and appreciate that moment.

We are encouraging this because when we make an effort to show appreciation for nature and the people and places we live in it can help boost our overall happiness and well-being. In addition, movement 🚶‍♀️is a huge part of the Reset programme, so this is a great chance to do just that 👍.

Today is World Mental Health Day. At Reset Health, we believe that prioritising your mental health is just as important as your physical health - they’re so interconnected. In fact, we believe that every chronic condition is also a mental health condition and that is why we treat the whole person.

As a team, we love getting outside 🌳 and into the open. If you managed to get outside this weekend and enjoy some of the last days of glorious sunshine 🌞, do tag us and tell us where you are.

Stretching ▫️ There is nothing quite like a good morning stretch. Sometimes we do it without thinking just before we get out of bed. However, there are actually many benefits to stretching first thing in the morning and before going to bed.

Stretching first thing in the morning can relieve any tension or pain from sleeping the night before. It also helps increase your blood flow and prepares your body for the day ahead. Stretching before bed relaxes your muscles and helps prevent you from waking up with more pain.

So, when you are next in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil, take in a deep breath and reach for the ceiling 🙆

CHANGING BEHAVIOUR ▫️when it comes to eating, we all have strong habits. Some are good and some are not so good.

Although many of our eating habits were established during childhood, it doesn’t mean it’s too late to change them. However, changing behaviour can take time and it is important not to get frustrated when change doesn’t happen overnight.

One set back is not the end of the world. Success is never linear. There are many twists and turns and you can only take things one day at a time.

PLANT-BASED ▫️At Reset Health, we are all about plant-based diets 🥦 or ones that have a greater emphasis on foods derived from plants.

Plants are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and other nutrients that deliver many benefits for the body. However, a common misconception is that eating a plant-based diet means you can’t eat meat.

That’s not true, it simply means your meals are mostly plants, (non-starchy) vegetables 🌽, wholegrains and berries 🍓. Beans, seeds and nuts 🥜 are also included.

So, when you’re looking at your plate, we suggest filling two-thirds with plant-based foods. The remaining one-third should be a lean protein like chicken or fish, or a plant protein like tofu or beans.

So, when you're next preparing a plant-based meal, share the photo and tag us so we can learn from you!

Hydrate 💧▪️ of all the drink options out there, water isn’t the most exciting option.
However, water makes up 60% of our bodies and is essential for almost all our cognitive processes. The knock on effect of being just a tiny bit dehydrated can have large mental and physical impacts.
So, staying hydrated is one of the best and most effective ways to look after ourselves. Aiming for 2-3 litres a day (or about 8 glasses) can do us a world of good and can:
🧠 improve concentration
😴 lead to better sleep
💧flush out toxins and metabolic waste that accumulates in our bodies.

Feeling overwhelmed or stressed?

One of the most effective, easiest, and cheapest ways to improve your mental health is to get outside and go for a walk (ideally when it’s literally not chucking it down with rain 🌧 😂).

It gets you away from your phone and you can just relax and appreciate nature and all the amazing smells and colours it offers. If you head outside, share a picture and tag us! 👍

NATURE ▪️It’s Wednesday; what are you looking forward to this weekend? The days are getting warmer and it’s a good excuse to spend some time outside. When did you last go camping, walk in a wood, build a fire? Time in nature can be a great antidote for stress. It can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, enhance immune system function, increase self-esteem, reduce anxiety, and improve our mood in general. Stepping out in nature, even for a short walk, can reinvigorate you and improve your mood.

SEA AIR ▪️Bucket-and-spades.. pebble beaches, coastal paths, windswept dunes… The British seaside means something different to each of us, but the benefits of life on the coast are universal. Sea side dwellers tend to report lower stress levels and feel encouraged to live healthier lifestyles. But even if you live in the city, the good news is that even day-trippers can feel the benefits of the sea side. Making time to get some sea side air is good for all of us - where's on your list?

OWN YOUR MISTAKES ▪️Think back to the last mistake you made. Even if it was a minor one, like spilling coffee on your work document seconds before you were due to present it, you'll probably have felt a rush of panic and then felt flustered or annoyed at yourself. But how you react to mistakes makes all the difference.
So, take a deep breath and take ownership of it. Inform those who need to know, say sorry and tell them that you're working on a solution. In the long run, people will remember your courage and integrity long after they've forgotten the original mistake. And everyone makes mistakes, so try not to dwell on it, move forward and focus on the next thing.

RELAXING ▪️
Even when we want to unwind, relaxation actually isn’t easy (and doesn’t come naturally) for many of us. It’s hard not to get caught up in worry during our fast-paced, time-crunched days, whether from work deadlines, financial worries, or feeling like we don’t have enough quality time. But the benefits of taking time out for a hobby, family or friendship are huge. Set yourself manageable goals - whether it's a coffee with a friend, playing piano, reading in the park. Allow yourself the time to rest.
