Monday Night is Hot 26+2 with Conleth!
In the words of long time student Scott:
"I'd never really thought of myself as the 'yoga type'. But as my fiftieth birthday approached, I felt it was time to try something new, break out of old patterns, and generally take better care of myself. So, almost two and half years ago now, I walked into Conleth Kane's Brewer Street Yoga class for the first time.
And it was, I'll admit, a baptism of fire - far more strenuous than any gym workout I'd ever done, and requiring me to bend and stretch parts of myself I didn't even know were there. But, mindful that few worthwhile things come easily, I kept going back and, within just a few weeks, the class began to 'flow'.
And I'm delighted I persevered, as I've got so much out of it all, both physically and mentally. The stretching has made me more flexible, while the breathing techniques have helped me manage stress a lot better. And I find going to a Monday night class sets me up well for the week ahead.
Conleth is also a very able and committed teacher, who is keen to ensure all his students derive as much benefit as possible from their yoga practice. Plus, he has worked hard to create a real sense of community among the group, which I have come to value as much as the class itself."
This class is our only 'hot' class, meaning the room is warm, so most guys take the class with shirts off and the traditional attire of speedos: technically they're supposed to be black speedos, but come on.. this is a fabulous gay yoga class! It's not compulsory by any means though and you're welcome to keep your shirt on if you wish.
This class is suitable for all body types and the group is friendly and welcoming so it's perfect for beginners. The class is quite intense and focuses on discipline and posture with the same poses repeated each week in the same order meaning you can track your improvements.
