I’ve spent a lot of the past year feeling quite overwhelmed…
Some of it’s been big personal life shifts and changes, some has been the huge world events (many of which have created a lot of anxiety and fear for those of us who are q***r or working with s-x).
I notice that when I feel overwhelmed, or fearful, I tend to stop breathing properly.
So the resourcing technique I’m going to be leaning into this coming year is breath…
Finding ways to invite more breath in, and to expand it.
This is not (just) some woo-woo stuff, the science of how breath helps regulate the nervous system is very well researched and documented and breathing practices have helped me process amazing amounts of s**t in the past (not to mention helped me consciosly create some mindblowing org/smic experiences, but that’s for another post!)
Wishing more breath, and ease for us all as we navigate into the coming year.
