A Day in the Life! 😀

This Housekeeping Week, we asked Julie, the Head Housekeeper at Leeming Bar Grange Care Home, what daily life is really like as part of our housekeeping team.

At the start of her day, Julie makes sure to stay updated on any orders and restocks the trolleys with all necessary cleaning supplies. She always takes a moment to greet the residents with a warm good morning, often receiving a few hugs in return 💜

Next, it's all hands on deck as Julie and her team start their daily cleaning routine, paying special attention to areas that require extra care. Their day always fly’s by as they get to chat with residents, learning so much about their lives and history 🌟

Before wrapping up, Julie wraps up her admin tasks and gets the honour of announcing the ‘Resident of the Day’. What a truly spectacular day.

This week, our Barchester homes and hospitals had an incredible time celebrating Emergency Services Day! 🚑🚨

We welcomed special visits from local fire departments, police officers, and paramedics, who each shared valuable insights about their roles.

Everyone was excited to meet the heroes who work so hard to keep our communities safe, and they brought along cakes and biscuits as a token of appreciation.
