recently supported the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) Treatment Course at Clinical Skills Centre.

Delegates learnt a variety of techniques for treating cervical disease using various energy devices including diathermy, thermal coagulation, plasma, cryotherapy and CO2 laser.

provided for various workstations the optical colposcopes, the VuSleeve access sheaths and the Limmer Laser GmbH UNILAS Touch CO2 Laser system.

The imed medical GmbH Digital 4K 3D Colposcope was used with the UNILAS Touch CO2 Laser with both the micro manipulator and fibre optic delivery, pictured with the Medi-matic® Patient Chair.

An educational and enjoyable workshop thanks to Theresa Freeman-Wang, Deirdre Lyons, Maggie Cruickshank, Miss (Dr) Stacey Bryan MRCOG MD, Kalpana Ragupathy, Sangeeta Khinder and all involved.

The first patient treatments have taken place in the ENT / Head & Neck Operating Theatres of with their new UNILAS Touch Pro CO2 Laser system.

Professor and Consultant Otolaryngologist Guri Sandhu and the Theatre Team successfully carried out a number of laryngeal procedures recently using the UNILAS Touch Pro. carried out the installation, initial case support and staff training.

The UNILAS Touch Pro is the only truly cross speciality CO2 Laser system used in ENT, OMFS, Plastics, Dermatology, Gynaecology and Colorectal Surgery.

With the vast array of delivery devices such as Micromanipulator, Handpieces and CO2 Laser Fibres available - the versatility and precision is unrivalled.

CO₂ Lasers are used widely for cutting and ablation of tissue particularly in surgery. Fractionated CO₂ laser creates tiny controlled columns of ablation and heat that trigger rapid surface healing and long-term collagen remodelling, giving powerful rejuvenation with less downtime than full-field CO₂ Laser treatment. A selection of indications that fractionated and ablative CO₂ are used for include;

🔵 Hypertrophic scars
🔵 Surgical scars
🔵 Acne scars
🔵 Accident burns/scars

Other treatments include seborrhoeic keratoses, skin tags, warts, syringomas, xanthelasma, benign naevi (in selected cases) and rhinophyma debulking.
